Before the Sanctuary Residence plaza, the Sanctuary Residence Guard was organizing people to put out the fire, gradually extinguishing the inferno Natsuyo had ignited with incendiary bombs.
Noah, Kisara, Saint Tenzi, and Natsuyo, along with Tina, who had come to join them, returned to the Sanctuary Residence reception room.
"Honestly, where exactly have you been these past three years?"
With her hands on her hips, Kisara looked like she was demanding an explanation as she vented her anger at Noah.
"You never made a single phone call, never sent back a single message, and even your whereabouts were a complete mystery. Even the guild's intelligence division had no information whatsoever, and countries around the world couldn't find any trace of you. Anyone who didn't know better would've thought some Gastrea had swallowed you whole!"
As Kisara raged, Natsuyo and Tina stood at her sides without any intention of calming her down. One looked at Noah reproachfully, while the other was filled with indignation.
Three years ago, although Natsuyo had been aloof and Tina absentminded, they had shared one thing in common: they had both been extremely attached to Noah and close to him.
Yet now, neither Natsuyo nor Tina spoke up for Noah. Clearly, they had both been worried that something had happened to him, which was why they were so angry upon seeing him again.
Even Saint Tenzi, who was usually rather gentle, did not choose to defend Noah. She merely sat there, staring fixedly at him as though demanding an explanation.
All Noah could do was smile wryly.
"Didn't I come back?"
