Originally, Noah had thought that Ophis, like Beowulf before her, was a life form born from using World Shards as the core of her life.

While fighting Ophis, Noah had considered that if he could use his unique connection with the World Shards to provoke a reaction from them, perhaps he could affect Ophis as well.

That was why Noah had launched a surprise attack on Ophis at the very last moment.

However, once Ophis decisively discarded her heart along with the World Shard and continued moving as usual, Noah understood that Ophis was different from Beowulf. She did not use World Shards as the core of her life; rather, the World Shard had merely lodged itself within her infinite power.
