The chapel in the dead of night did not possess the slightest hint of holiness. Instead, it gave off an eerie, sinister feeling.
At the very front of this gloomy chapel, the priest holding a book seemed completely unaware of Noah's arrival. He kept his head lowered, apparently murmuring passages from the Bible. At the very least, he looked quite devout.
Yet in this sinister chapel, the sight of a tall priest silently reciting scripture was eerie no matter how one looked at it.
If someone more timid had witnessed this scene, they would probably have instinctively turned around and left, wouldn't they?
Not only did Noah not turn around and leave, he pushed open the door and walked into the chapel without concealing himself in the slightest. Every step produced a distinct footfall. He moved openly and aboveboard, without the slightest trace of sneakiness, bringing a faint touch of life to the entire chapel.
However, Noah did not head straight for the priest. After walking some distance forward, he stopped and made no further move.

An indescribable silence filled the entire chapel.
Neither the believer nor the visitor spoke immediately. They simply maintained the current tableau, making the atmosphere exceptionally strange.
Though it was only their first meeting, and neither side had openly displayed any obvious hostility, the scene before them felt as though a clash had already begun beneath the surface. It was tense and on edge.
Whoever broke the silence first would lose the advantage.
That was the atmosphere.
