"You should be showing your true skill by now, shouldn't you?"
Lancer's words froze the entire atmosphere at the scene.
Rider fell silent.
There was no doubt that Rider had yet to reveal her true power.
After all, every class in the Holy Grail War had its own requirements.
The requirement for the Saber class was that the Heroic Spirit had to possess the potential to reach the highest rank in every parameter except Mana, and wield a bladed weapon.
The requirement for the Lancer class was that the Heroic Spirit had to possess the highest rank of Agility and wield a spear-type weapon.
The requirement for the Archer class was that the Heroic Spirit had to specialize in long-range attacks, possess a powerful ranged weapon, or have a special ability related to ranged weapons.
By the same logic, only Heroic Spirits that met a class's requirements could descend into this world as Servants using that class as their vessel.
Clearly, meeting a class's requirements also meant that the Servant excelled at a particular style of combat.
The Rider class, however, required the Heroic Spirit to have a deep connection with a certain mount.

Thus, Rider was not suited for close combat at all.
The only reason her parameters were not below Lancer's—who belonged to the Three Knights and whose parameter requirements ranked second only to Saber's—was because Noah, her Master, provided her with immense Mana.
But even so, Rider's strength was still not close combat.
