Hassan infiltrated a winery and uncovered its connection to Tomie, who was helping the business expand while manipulating its owner and his son. After the intelligence reached Tokyo Jujutsu High, Eiji launched an investigation and sent a team to find Tomie.

• Hassan entered the winery, overheard employees explain that its sudden success began after a woman arrived, and searched the owner's office.
• The winery owner and his son discussed their booming liquor business, while Hassan learned they were relying on Tomie's help.
• Hassan followed the son to the basement and saw him butcher a woman named Tomie, who sensed Hassan nearby.

Meanwhile, Tomie maneuvered around Kenjaku’s January 1st plan and escaped the hotel through a body double, leaving an explosion and two reported deaths behind.

• Eiji asked Tengen about higher-dimensional life, and she explained that a man had promised humanity would become a new kind of life after everyone assimilated with her.
• Eiji concluded that Tengen’s nationwide Empty Barriers were meant to shelter the gestation of that new life and that she had taken Toji Fushiguro’s disruption as a sign to begin evolving.

In Kyoto, Abe no Seimei learned that the plan had failed and decided to use the remaining Pillars of Heaven to lure and seal Satoru Gojo.

• Gilgamesh slaughtered hundreds of thousands of Cursed Spirits at Hida Mountain and destroyed the Pillars of Heaven there.
• Gilgamesh unleashed EnumaElish, destroying the nation's largest Pure Barrier and causing tremors across the central region.
• Abe no Seimei sensed that the Tokyo Pillars of Heaven and the other control points had been destroyed, and that the underground Pure Barrier had vanished.
• Kenjaku returned to Kyoto with a young girl and told Abe no Seimei that their plan had failed because the enemy seemed prepared.
• Abe no Seimei abandoned the Pillars of Heaven plan and proposed using the remaining Pillars of Heaven as bait to seal Satoru Gojo.

Satoru Gojo forced Jogo and Hanami through Windows into a prepared barrier, where Suguru Geto captured them and restrained the Curse Users. After recovering from Cursed Technique Severance, Satoru left the Imaginary World and headed to Kyoto to pursue more enemies.

• Yuta Okkotsu brought Ryougi Shiki to the winery, where she killed the owner and his son after they had transformed into Tomie.
• Yuta Okkotsu and Ryougi Shiki entered the cellar while Rika and the Hassans evacuated the sleeping ordinary people, and Tomie gathered her followers after sensing her other selves die.

• Tsuchigumo arrived with Abe no Seimei and Kenjaku, and Satoru Gojo recognized him as Seimei’s strongest Shikigami.
