Seeing Erza anxiously watching Jellal being taken away by the Council, Shen Fei offered her some comfort. These weren't empty assurances; he really intended to ask Makarov to approach the Council once they returned. The Tower of Paradise, Uruk, and the other incidents had all been Brian's doing. Capturing Brian hardly meant Shen Fei would let him off. Quite the opposite—Brian was now the perfect person to take the blame. Although Ultear had been the one controlling Jellal, that could be pinned on Brian too. Strictly speaking, it wasn't even shifting the blame. It was the truth.
"The Oración Seis were actually just like you back then." Shen Fei then explained the circumstances of the other five members. They seemed to have been in the same Tower of Paradise as Erza and the others, but Brian had selected them for their talents to serve as the anchors sealing Mu.
"They were too?" Erza was astonished to learn that the Oración Seis had suffered the same fate as her. Before long, however, she felt considerably more at ease. As long as Jellal wasn't sentenced to death, everything else could be worked out. Shen Fei said nothing more on that subject. Although Laharl had mentioned the possibility of capital punishment before leaving, Shen Fei thought he had most likely been trying to frighten Jellal. And if they really did intend to execute him, Shen Fei might have to break him out of prison.
