After Kihachi Mizuhara found Rentaro and handed him evidence of Kikunojo Tendo's conspiracy, Rentaro immediately fell into turmoil. In Rentaro's understanding, he had always believed that Kikunojo Tendo, and even the other members of the Tendou family, were good people. The Gastrea attack that had killed Kisara Tendo's parents back then had merely been an accident.

Even though Kisara Tendo had always insisted that other members of the Tendou family had murdered her parents, Rentaro had never fully believed her. But now, the evidence was conclusive, and Rentaro still found himself unwilling to accept it. After thinking it over for two days, he went directly to find Kikunojo Tendo. Naturally, he did not show that evidence to Kisara Tendo.

"Why did you do this?" At the Tendou residence, Rentaro loudly demanded an answer from Kikunojo Tendo.

"Why? Naturally, because they're all monsters." As Kikunojo Tendo spoke, even his face twisted, though he regained his composure the next moment.

"They're human, not monsters!" Rentaro roared at once, drawing his handgun and aiming it at Kikunojo Tendo.

"They are monsters, Rentaro. You've disappointed me too deeply. You've forgotten all of my teachings from back then. And Kisara—you've both forgotten my teachings." Kikunojo Tendo looked at Rentaro with the expression of someone bitterly disappointed by a failure to live up to expectations.

Rentaro could, in fact, be considered a member of the Tendou family. Kikunojo Tendo had always raised him as an adopted son, teaching him every technique of the Tendou style. In a sense, Kikunojo Tendo had placed great hopes on Rentaro, and the same was true of Kisara Tendo.

But hopes were one thing. If either of them did anything detrimental to the Tendou family, he would not hold back. Just as he had not held back against Kisara Tendo's parents
