"The technology here is incredible. They have AI assistants and Void Terminals, yet nobody ever thought to use them to make communication widely accessible." Looking at the projected images displayed by Mehrrak, Shen Fei once again internally mocked Teyvat's technological standards.
Mehrrak could be said to be an extremely important assistant to Kaveh. Not only could it help him complete his work, it was also a great help in his daily life. If Kaveh ever felt too lazy to go out, he could have Mehrrak buy him coffee, takeout, and so on. It could even fight in Kaveh's place. He did not need to lift a finger—Mehrrak could wield a greatsword and battle on its own.
So although Kaveh had always said that Mehrrak could not understand complicated commands, Shen Fei felt that Mehrrak was already evolving into an intelligent life-form. For example, if Kaveh sent Mehrrak to buy coffee, only for the café to be out of beans, another smart assistant might simply return and report back. Mehrrak, however, would take the initiative to wait or even help find coffee beans. Pure artificial intelligence could not do that.
However, impressive as Mehrrak was, it still could not compare to Faruzan's assistant. That one had completely become a mechanical life-form. Shen Fei had heard about it from Lumine. After Nahida took power, there was a great deal of Akademiya work that needed her to oversee. Shen Fei did not intervene to help with any of it.
