"Not bad. We can finally breathe easy—the real Phantom Thief Mink." Lynette suddenly spoke.
"See? Lynette says so too. Huh?? Phantom Thief Mink, did Lorenzo escape? Where is he?" Lynette's words immediately made Paimon look around, trying to spot someone, while Lumine kept her eyes fixed on Gemma.
"Wait, no. Lynette, you don't mean... that's impossible, right?" Paimon quickly caught on, staring at Lynette and Gemma in disbelief as her gaze shifted back and forth between them.
"So that was it. That Cesar really had terrible luck." After hearing Lynette's words, Shen Fei recalled the entire Phantom Thief Mink case, as well as what Gemma had just said about how she and Cesar had met, and let out a soft sigh.
"Phantom Thief Mink? Miss Lynette, were you speaking to me?" Gemma looked at Lynette in surprise.
"My brother once said that everyone standing onstage had to play their role to the best of their ability, bring the audience a splendid feast, and then make their exit once all their cards had been played. Someone left with empty sleeves should not remain onstage. It has been ten years, Miss Gemma. You must be tired of acting too. Isn't it time to bring this play to an end?" Lynette continued.
"Lynette, what are you talking about? I don't understand any of this! Lumine, Shen Fei, the atmosphere is getting really bad. Say something!" Paimon looked at Lynette in confusion before turning hopefully toward Shen Fei and Lumine.
"Paimon, come here. I trust Lynette." Lumine pulled Paimon into her arms. Upon hearing that, Paimon immediately behaved herself in Lumine's embrace. After all, Lynette was clearly more trustworthy to her.
