Langgan was an ancient kingdom in the Liyue region. The residents of present-day Chenyu Vale were descendants of the ancient Kingdom of Langgan. They had originally lived in The Chasm, but after Heavenly Principles cast the Heavenly Nails into The Chasm, they relocated to Chenyu Vale.
Speaking of the ancient Kingdom of Langgan being struck by the Heavenly Nails, they had truly been unlucky. The other places struck by Nails had indeed done certain things, but the Kingdom of Langgan had done nothing at all. It was purely an undeserved disaster. And if one truly traced it back, Heavenly Principles herself had been the instigator.
The era when the Kingdom of Langgan was struck by the Nail was the Year of Burying Fire, precisely the period when Phanes of Heavenly Principles fought the Dragon King Nibelungen. That battle spread far and wide. Part of Nibelungen's body was severed by Heavenly Principles and fell upon the Kingdom of Langgan. Nibelungen had been severely corrupted by the Abyss at the time, and merely part of his body was enough to corrupt an entire nation.
Thus, Heavenly Principles prepared to purify that portion of Abyssal power. There was naturally nothing wrong with that, since the Abyss was indeed extremely dangerous. But the problem was that Heavenly Principles gave the people of the Kingdom of Langgan no time at all to evacuate. It was utterly absurd. Had someone not temporarily blocked the Heavenly Nails and bought the people of Langgan time to escape, there probably would not be the people of Chenyu Vale today.
The ruins Pardofelis and Felice had discovered this time were part of the Kingdom of Langgan that had been buried when the Heavenly Nails fell. They contained a considerable number of jade artifacts and ritual vessels, every one of them
