Scientific research needed funding. Even if Aino could receive some money from Nashan Town because of the Rumbling Lunar Moment Force Energy Cannon, it was nowhere near enough for her needs, so even if she did not want to, she had to think of ways to make money.
Aino had roughly two ways to earn money. The first was selling related blueprints, as mentioned earlier. The second was maintaining or repairing devices and equipment. Though Nashan Town had quite a few workshops, the others could only maintain low-level equipment. Aino was the only one who knew how to handle high-level equipment. Faruzan and Aino had first gotten to know each other for that very reason.
With the Knights of Favonius on an expedition to Nodrekai, they naturally needed maintenance and repairs for their devices and equipment. Since it concerned the safety of the knights, Mondstadt would not skimp on funding in that regard.
Aside from the Knights of Favonius, Aino also maintained the Lamp-Bearers' equipment. These two groups were Aino's biggest clients so far.

After Inef finished checking the items, the group immediately said goodbye to Dori and prepared to head to Clang-Clang Egg Roll Workshop to see Aino. Inef looked extremely excited. In order to give Aino a surprise, she had not contacted Aino to tell her she would be back today. Speaking of which, Paimon had been the one to suggest it.
