"This was quite an unexpected development. Looks like I had changed a few things after all."

Watching the battle ahead, Shen Fei could not help but smile faintly. The two fighting before him were Gin Ichimaru and Kaname Tosen. Both were Aizen's subordinates, yet they were fighting each other. There could only be one explanation: because of what Shen Fei had said, Gin Ichimaru had likely moved against Aizen ahead of schedule.

"Though from the looks of it, he failed."

Judging from the blood on Gin Ichimaru and the way Kaname Tosen attacked while demanding to know why he had betrayed Lord Aizen, there was no doubt that he had failed.

To Kaname Tosen, Aizen had been a beacon that appeared during the darkest point of his life. His worship of Aizen was extreme, and under that mindset, any act of betrayal against Aizen was an unforgivable sin.

"Because he insisted on his own justice, he would not even take revenge himself?"

Shen Fei had once wondered why, when Aizen had gone on a killing spree in Soul Society, he had not taken the opportunity to kill Tokinada Tsunayashiro as well. Others in Soul Society might have been constrained by Tokinada's status and found it difficult to act, but they had been preparing to defect at the time. Now, though, Shen Fei understood.

To Kaname Tosen, Utagaki's death had not been caused solely by Tokinada Tsunayashiro. Soul Society's system was also to blame. He wanted to utterly deny that system and see a New World, which was precisely what Aizen could give him.

"Bakudo #81: Danku. You look like you need some help."
