"I never expected anyone to actually come to this island." After the natives left, the old man walked up to Shen Fei and Ryoko, looking extremely excited.
The old man then introduced himself. He had been an Allied pilot during World War II. After accidentally getting caught in the storm surrounding Skull Island, his plane had lost control and crash-landed on the island. He had lived there ever since.
He had not landed on the island alone back then, but with a flight squadron. However, he was now the only survivor. The others had gradually died for various reasons. Some had been killed in the crash, some by the island's monsters, and some had vanished into the storm while trying to leave the island.
