Ch. 221Sengoku Vomits Blood (Part 1)

After killing Vice Admiral Weasel, Shen Fei planned to expose the Navy's ties to slave trading and drew Sengoku's fury. He reached Sabaody Archipelago to investigate its slave auction houses, knowing Kizaru had arrived to hunt him, and prepared to begin his next move on Island One.

  • Shen Fei defeated Weasel's Marines, left survivors to carry his accusation to the Navy, and used Red Queen to plan a campaign against Sengoku and the others.
  • Sengoku confined the Marines who had heard Shen Fei's words and sent Kizaru to deal with him.
  • Shen Fei traveled to Sabaody Archipelago under Claude's identity, where he killed attackers and visited Shakky's bar for information about Island One.
  • Shakky warned Shen Fei that Kizaru was already on the island, but Shen Fei chose to continue toward his objective.
  • Shen Fei disguised himself and reached Island One, where he saw its many slave auction houses and prepared to begin his show.

Ch. 222Sengoku Coughs Blood (Part Two)

Shen Fei planted bombs in Island One’s slave auction houses, then used loudspeakers and a Sea Stone bullet to provoke Admiral Kizaru and expose the Marines’ role in the slave trade. He destroyed the auction houses, freed the slaves, and covered Sabaody Archipelago with falling papers before escaping, while Kizaru was left facing the chaos.

  • Shen Fei watched a slave auction, recognized Dark King Rayleigh among the lots, and decided against bidding on him.
  • Shen Fei planted timed bombs in every slave auction house on Island One and returned to his secret base.
  • Kizaru arrived on Sabaody Archipelago and responded to a mysterious voice calling him out; Shen Fei fired a Sea Stone bullet at him through an Arcane Gate, but Kizaru dodged it.
  • Shen Fei used Den Den Mushi loudspeakers to accuse the Marines of backing the slave markets while Kizaru destroyed several speakers and survived an explosion.
  • Shen Fei detonated bombs that collapsed the auction houses, allowing slaves to escape as he continued denouncing the Marines and the World Government.
  • Shen Fei released countless sheets of paper over Sabaody Archipelago and escaped after warning Kizaru to leave the Marines, while Kizaru restrained himself from attacking the surrounding crowd.

Ch. 223Sengoku Coughs Blood (End)

Shen Fei spread flyers across Marine locations, exposing the Marines’ role in slavery and revealing the truth about Gol D. Roger’s surrender, which left Sengoku and the World Government facing a crisis. As pirates and the Revolutionary Army reacted to the scandal, Shen Fei decided to intensify the campaign by scattering more flyers.

  • Shen Fei opened the Arcane Gate above Marineford and scattered flyers, repeating his action at Sabaody.
  • Kizaru discovered the flyers at Sabaody, while Marine Headquarters collapsed after Sengoku read them and punched the building in anger; Aokiji froze it long enough for everyone inside to evacuate.
  • Reports from five Marine branches and protests from allied nations deepened the scandal, and Sengoku ordered an investigation into Cloud.
  • Doflamingo dismissed Disco’s complaints about the destroyed auction house, while Red Hair, Whitebeard, Kaido, and Charlotte Linlin read the flyers and reacted to the Marines’ troubles.
  • Dragon and Sabo discussed the scandal but chose to wait, and Shen Fei scattered another round of flyers over the Marines.

Ch. 224Punk Hazard

Shen Fei spread another wave of flyers exposing the Marines and World Government, then traveled to Punk Hazard to investigate Caesar’s underground laboratory. He discovered Law and Monet there and considered the potential of Caesar’s Gasu Gasu no Mi.

  • Kizaru destroyed the shells Shen Fei launched over Marine Headquarters, but the flyers still scattered across Marineford, and Kizaru could not find Shen Fei.
  • Sengoku grew more furious as the flyers reached Marine Headquarters, the five major branches, and kingdoms including Alabasta, while Rayleigh and Shakky watched flyers fall across Grove 13.
  • Shen Fei reflected that the flyers could drive Marines to desert, discourage recruitment, and reignite piracy before he flew over the Red Line toward Punk Hazard.
  • Shen Fei sensed life on Punk Hazard, spotted one of Vegapunk’s flying dragons, and followed the island’s strange-bodied guards to Caesar’s underground research base.
  • From the Mirror Dimension, Shen Fei watched Law and Monet together and considered how Caesar’s Gasu Gasu no Mi could be used beyond his experiments.

Ch. 225Punk Hazard (End)

Shen Fei searched Punk Hazard, obtained Vegapunk’s method for producing lineage factors, and left after judging Caesar’s artificial Devil Fruits disappointing. He then visited Dressrosa and reached Wano Country, where he reacted to Kurozumi Orochi’s rule.

  • Shen Fei found Vegapunk’s pink artificial Dragon-Dragon Fruit and examined Caesar’s experiments on children.
  • Shen Fei inspected Punk Hazard, assessed the flaws in Caesar’s artificial Zoan Devil Fruits, and obtained a method for producing lineage factors.
  • Shen Fei left Punk Hazard and visited Dressrosa, where he watched Diamante defeat challengers in the Corrida Coliseum.
  • Shen Fei confirmed Dressrosa’s location for future Arcane Gate travel and continued on to Wano Country.
  • Shen Fei arrived in Wano Country and condemned Kurozumi Orochi for ruling in a way that seemed intent on destroying the country.

Ch. 226Titles Are So Hard to Think Of

Shen Fei traveled through Wano Country and Cake Island to gather swordsmanship knowledge and make rubbings of the Four Emperors’ Road Poneglyphs. After returning to Sabaody Archipelago and spotting a rebuilt slave auction, he suspected a trap and prepared to act from the shadows.

  • Shen Fei searched Flower Capital for Wano Country swordsmanship manuals and learned that Ace had visited Wano Country and been rescued by a Giant.
  • Shen Fei left grain, vegetables, and clean water along Tama’s path in Kuri, then flew toward Cake Island.
  • Shen Fei explored Totto Land, obtained a rubbing of Charlotte Linlin’s red Road Poneglyph and a Poneglyph, and left the island.
  • Shen Fei opened an Arcane Gate to Sabaody Archipelago and saw Disco overseeing construction of a new Human Auction House and a temporary slave auction.
  • Shen Fei suspected the auction house might be a trap, abandoned his plan to confront the slavers openly, and prepared to act in secret with a modified Barrett.

Ch. 227New World (Part 1)

Shen Fei attacked the slave auction houses on Sabaody, but Admiral Kizaru intercepted him and forced him to escape using his spatial ability. After Kizaru reported the encounter to Sengoku, Shen Fei continued his campaign by planting explosives at Marineford and issuing another warning against human trafficking.

  • Shen Fei shot a high-ranking member of a slave auction house near Disco, but Kizaru struck him and confronted him.
  • Shen Fei used smoke grenades and Apparition to escape Kizaru, leaving explosions behind as a decoy.
  • Kizaru told Sengoku that Shen Fei had escaped with a spatial ability, prompting Sengoku to recognize the threat and order Kizaru back.
  • Kizaru returned to the auction house as Shen Fei's voice declared that human traffickers were his enemies and that the attack was only the beginning.
  • Shen Fei opened an Arcane Gate from an uninhabited island and attached explosives to a Warship in Marineford port.

Ch. 228New World (Part 2)

Shen Fei planted bombs on ten Marine warships, then traveled to Fish-Man Island, where he stole ES Pills and found the Poneglyph. He returned to his secret base, ready to begin exploring the New World.

  • Shen Fei bombed ten Marine Vice Admiral warships, but Sengoku, Garp, Aokiji, and the other Marines quickly rescued the survivors and secured the port.
  • Shen Fei considered recruiting Zephyr and improving his strength, then secretly boarded a pirate ship coated by Rayleigh to travel to Fish-Man Island.
  • A Sea Monk threw the ship into Fish-Man Island's bubble, where Hody Jones and the New Fish-Man Pirates attacked the pirates aboard.
  • Shen Fei recognized Hody Jones and quietly stole ES Pills from the New Fish-Man Pirates' base as Hody and his officers discussed enslaving humans and attacking the surface.
  • Shen Fei passed through Fish-Man Island, headed to the Sea Forest, and opened an Arcane Gate before the Poneglyph to return to his secret base.

Ch. 229New World (Part 2)

Shen Fei arrived on Whale Island in the Hunter World and followed Gon to the Hunter Exam, passing its preliminary stages alongside Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. The group reached the underground exam hall, where they met Tonpa and learned that several applicants had already been eliminated.

  • Shen Fei recognized Gon on Whale Island, waited for Gon to catch the Swamp King, and boarded the Hunter Exam ship with him.
  • Gon warned the ship’s crew about storms, and the captain revealed that he was a junior examiner after Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and Shen Fei stayed aboard.
  • The captain directed Gon’s group toward a mountaintop; Leorio reconsidered his route to Zaban City and joined them on the way.
  • Gon recognized the Kiriko’s disguise, allowing Shen Fei and the others to pass the Old Woman’s test and reach the Hunter Exam site in Zaban City.
  • Shen Fei received number 402 in the underground exam hall, where Tonpa described his thirty-five attempts and pointed out several strong applicants.

Ch. 230Nen (Part 1)

Shen Fei exposed Tonpa’s poisoned drinks, then joined Satotz’s first-phase Hunter Exam route through the Numere Wetlands. He reached the finish line ahead of Gon and Kurapika, where Satotz announced the second phase and a Nen-concealed manor appeared.

  • Tonpa offered poisoned drinks to Gon, Kurapika, Leorio, and Shen Fei while Hisoka demonstrated his Nen ability by making a youth’s arms disappear.
  • Shen Fei forced Tonpa to drink his own cans, causing an explosive and foul-smelling reaction that sent the candidates rushing after examiner Satotz.
  • Several candidates tried to attack Shen Fei in the passage, but he knocked them down before continuing alone and passing Killua on the route.
  • Shen Fei followed Satotz through the Numere Wetlands, observing Hisoka kill candidates and later carry the unconscious Leorio.
  • Shen Fei reached the end of the first phase, followed by Hisoka carrying Leorio and then Gon and Kurapika.
  • Satotz announced the second phase, and a manor concealed by Nen appeared beside the group.

Ch. 231Nen (Part 2)

Menchi’s sushi test sparked a protest among the examinees until Chairman Netero arrived and ordered her to set a new challenge. After the examinees collected Gourmet Spider eggs on Madoru Mountain, they headed to Trick Tower, where Shen Fei bypassed the trial by jumping down its exterior.

  • Menchi’s sushi test failed everyone, and the angry examinees confronted her until Netero landed between them and intervened.
  • Netero told Menchi to devise another test, and she led the examinees by airship to Madoru Mountain to collect Gourmet Spider eggs.
  • Gon and Killua jumped down the cliff to retrieve eggs, while Shen Fei collected one and climbed back up; forty of the seventy examinees passed.
  • The forty successful examinees traveled to Trick Tower for a seventy-two-hour challenge to reach its lowest floor.
  • Shen Fei told Gon and the others he would wait at the finish line, then jumped down the tower’s exterior and evaded its bird-like magical beasts.

Ch. 232Nen (Part 2)

Shen Fei passed the Trick Tower by swinging down its exterior, then entered the Hunter Island exam and defeated Illumi before taking Killua’s number tag. He stayed hidden with Killua for the remaining days of the test, while Gon and the others continued their own trials.

  • Shen Fei swung down the outside of Trick Tower and waited three days for Gon’s group to finish the delayed test.
  • At the Hunter Island exam, Shen Fei learned Killua was his target and showed him the number slip.
  • Illumi attacked Shen Fei in the forest, but Shen Fei broke Illumi’s arm, knocked him unconscious, and carried him near the port.
  • Shen Fei took Killua’s number tag without hurting him, then stayed hidden with Killua for the next few days.

Ch. 233Nen (Complete)

After the Hunter Exam’s fourth phase ended, Shen Fei and the other examinees reached the final stage, where one-on-one matches would decide who passed. Hisoka learned that Illumi had been defeated, while the Zoldyck Family identified Shen Fei as the person responsible and Silva set out to complete Illumi’s mission.

  • Shen Fei left the valley with Killua, and Hisoka cleared a group of ambushers near the port; Killua stayed behind to wait for Gon while Shen Fei went ahead.
  • Gon, Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio returned to the meeting point, and the examinees boarded an airship for the final exam.
  • Hisoka realized Illumi had not appeared and became eager to find whoever had defeated him.
  • Silva and Zeno questioned the injured Illumi, identified Shen Fei, and Silva left to carry out Illumi’s mission.
  • Netero announced that the final exam would consist of one-on-one matches, with each examinee required to make their opponent surrender without killing them.
  • Hanzo surrendered after failing to make Gon give up, and Shen Fei quickly persuaded Pokkle to concede.

Ch. 234Biscuit (Part 1)

After earning their Hunter licenses, Shen Fei, Gon, and Killua traveled to Heavens Arena to train and watch Hisoka fight. As Hisoka faced Jamie above the 200th floor, Shen Fei noticed a mysterious girl with golden twin-tails sit beside him.

  • Netero and Beans awarded Hunter licenses to the seven qualified candidates, and Kurapika told Gon and Killua that Hisoka had revealed the Phantom Troupe would appear in Yorknew City on September 1st.
  • Gon, Killua, and Shen Fei agreed to meet Kurapika and Leorio in Yorknew City before setting off for Heavens Arena together.
  • Gon lost a match after reaching the 100th floor, while Killua and Shen Fei continued winning; Killua then obtained tickets to watch Hisoka fight above the 200th floor.
  • Hisoka battled the Emitter Jamie, blocking his Nen bullets with playing cards while Shen Fei noticed that Bungee Gum had secretly attached Jamie to several cards.
  • Shen Fei noticed a cute girl with golden twin-tails take the seat beside him as Gon and Killua watched Hisoka's match.

Ch. 235Biscuit (2)

Shen Fei watched Hisoka defeat an opponent and waited for Biscuit to appear as Gon and Killua trained and advanced toward the two-hundredth floor. Hisoka stopped Gon and Killua from registering with his Nen aura, and Biscuit brought them to Yung so she could explain the qualification they needed.

  • Shen Fei studied Hisoka's tactic of distracting his opponent with a question, while Gon resolved to get stronger and Killua tried to uncover Hisoka's abilities.
  • Yung learned from Biscuit that Netero had sent her to teach Nen, and Biscuit handed Gon, Killua, and Shen Fei over to him for training.
  • Shen Fei and Biscuit earned money by betting on Hisoka's matches as Gon and Killua improved and reached the two-hundredth floor.
  • Hisoka used his Nen aura to stop Gon and Killua from approaching the registration desk, warning that they were not qualified to enter.
  • Biscuit arrived, told Gon and Killua to follow her, and took them to Yung's hotel; Killua urged her to explain the qualification before time ran out.

Ch. 236Biscuit (Part 2)

Yung taught Gon and Killua the dangers and fundamentals of Nen, then reluctantly helped them open their aura nodes so they could register at Heavens Arena. Shen Fei chose to train Nen normally and discovered that combining it with his existing abilities greatly increased his strength.

  • Yung explained Nen and demonstrated its destructive power, while warning Gon and Killua that they were not ready to fight above the 200th floor.
  • After Gon and Killua insisted on registering, Biscuit told Yung to explain the dangerous method of forcibly opening aura nodes; Shen Fei chose conventional training instead.
  • Yung opened Gon and Killua's aura nodes and taught them to control their life energy, while he also began teaching Shen Fei to develop his Nen.
  • Gon and Killua trained Ten for several days, then left at midnight to register, with Yung warning them not to challenge anyone.
  • After Gon and Killua left, Shen Fei moved the group into a presidential suite and went to an empty valley to test his Nen, creating a huge crater with its power.
  • Shen Fei considered combining Nen with Haki and learning Netero's Hundred-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva through Biscuit.

Ch. 237Biscuit (Complete)

Shen Fei, Gon, and Killua tested their Nen affinities and began intensive training under Biscuit, who taught them advanced techniques and prepared them for combat. As Shen Fei trained separately with Biscuit, he began to understand his Specialist ability and suspected it was connected to the Op-Op Fruit.

  • Yung tested the group’s Nen affinities, revealing Gon as an Enhancer, Killua as a Transmuter, and Shen Fei as a Specialist whose aura transformed the cup and its contents into crystals.
  • Biscuit criticized Yung’s conservative training for Shen Fei, Gon, and Killua, then took charge of their instruction while reassuring the disappointed Zushi.
  • The group watched Hisoka defeat Kastro, and Biscuit taught Shen Fei, Gon, and Killua to use Gyo to detect Hisoka’s Nen threads and identify his abilities.
  • Biscuit took the three boys to an uninhabited island for strict closed-door training in Nen fundamentals and advanced techniques.
  • Biscuit separated Shen Fei from Gon and Killua for individual combat training, and Shen Fei began to understand his Specialist ability as analysis rather than copying.

Ch. 238Phantom Troupe (Part 1)

Shen Fei developed his ability to analyze and replicate Nen, then studied Greed Island and spotted a chance to profit from Gon and Killua’s Heavens Arena fights. Gon and Killua began their matches against the rookie killers, winning their first bouts with Biscuit’s training put to the test.

  • Shen Fei used his Nen ability to replicate Biscuit’s Magical Esthetician Cookie and tested its restorative effects on Killua.
  • Shen Fei researched Greed Island and learned that a copy would be auctioned in Yorknew City.
  • Gon and Killua agreed to fight the three rookie killers after they captured Zushi and demanded battle applications.
  • Shen Fei told Biscuit the matches offered a chance to earn billions, and Biscuit agreed to let the fights proceed.
  • Gon defeated Gido and Riehlvelt with his floor-flipping tactic, while Killua also won his matches and Biscuit celebrated their six victories.

Ch. 239Phantom Troupe (Part 2)

After Gon accepted Hisoka’s challenge, Biscuit left Heavens Arena and Shen Fei headed to Yorknew City to meet the tycoon Battler. Shen Fei offered to use his healing ability on Battler’s comatose girlfriend, and Battler agreed to let him examine her.

  • Biscuit warned Gon to be careful in his coming fight with Hisoka, then departed after telling Shen Fei that an old man wanted him to visit the Hunter Association.
  • Shen Fei left Heavens Arena without watching Gon and Hisoka’s battle and chose to pursue Battler, who had offered a massive reward for Greed Island information and a completion record.
  • Shen Fei met Battler in Yorknew City and said he could treat Battler’s girlfriend, who had remained comatose since a car accident.
  • Shen Fei intimidated Battler’s bodyguards with his Nen aura and offered to treat the woman without payment if he failed, in exchange for a condition if he succeeded.
  • Battler accepted Shen Fei’s condition and led him to see his girlfriend.

Ch. 240Phantom Troupe (Part 2)

Shen Fei used the Philosopher's Stone to awaken Battler's comatose girlfriend, Mia, and received Greed Island consoles as part of their deal. He left with three consoles and began investigating their divine script, while Battler canceled his in-game reward and Greed Island players reacted to the news.

  • Shen Fei examined Mia's medical records, sensed that her soul was the problem, and used the Philosopher's Stone to wake her.
  • Battler paid Shen Fei fifty billion, agreed to give him three Greed Island consoles, and promised to keep his role in Mia's recovery secret.
  • Battler recalled Zezu and his team from Greed Island, canceled the reward, and arranged compensation for the people he had hired.
  • The Bomber trio and Zezu's group chose to keep pursuing the game despite the canceled reward, while other players left or continued playing.
  • Shen Fei inspected a console and discovered divine script throughout its casing and circuitry, then wondered whether Gon and Killua had reached Yorknew City.
