Ye Qiu brought his companions to Sea God Island, where they received trials of varying ranks and began climbing beneath Sea God's Light. Bo Saixi confirmed the trial’s hidden benefits, agreed to support their year of cultivation, and arrived with a God-Bestowed Spirit Ring for Ye Qiu.

• Ye Qiu led the group to Sea God Island, where they crossed the Sea within a Sea and received trials ranging from Purple and Black tiers to Ning Rongrong’s Top Tier Seven and Tang Yuehua’s unprecedented Sea God Nine Trials.
• Bo Saixi recognized Tang Yuehua as Tang Chen’s granddaughter, welcomed the group as honored guests, and gave Ye Qiu a top-tier trial to help Tang Yuehua.
• The group learned that most of their trials required them to climb Sea God Mountain’s steps beneath Sea God’s Light, while Tang Yuehua had to climb 333 steps and Ning Rongrong 136.
• Ye Qiu discovered that the Sea God’s Light reflected attacks and tried climbing the steps, while Liu Erlong and the others tested their limits under its increasing pressure.
• Xiao Wu reached the forty-third step with Ye Qiu’s help, and Ye Qiu concluded that the group could use support and self-enhancement abilities to help one another.
• Bo Saixi confirmed that the first trial’s pressure was meant to strengthen and cultivate them, agreed to provide food and clean water for their year on the island, and brought Ye Qiu a God-Bestowed Spirit Ring.

Ye Qiu entered the City of Slaughter to complete Destruction’s trial, where he and Hu Liena grew close while winning their arena matches. After reaching one hundred victories, they chose to face Hell Road together and fought their way through its Blood Bats.

• Ye Qiu began cultivating under the Sea God's Light, while Qian Renxue received the Angel God’s blessing and prepared to leave with Qian Daoliu.
• Ye Qiu entered the City of Slaughter, accepted Destruction’s trial, and discovered that its domain suppressed his Spirit Rings.
• Ye Qiu survived repeated ambushes and arena battles as Hu Liena watched over him, and he gave her his blood after she was poisoned.
• Hu Liena and Ye Qiu helped each other endure their growing killing intent, and they became lovers while preparing to face Hell Road.
• Ye Qiu won one hundred consecutive arena matches, but he and Hu Liena refused the King of Slaughter’s offer to become Slaughter Gods without taking the trial.
• The King of Slaughter sent Ye Qiu and Hu Liena onto Hell Road, where they crossed a narrow path above the Blood Pool and fought off swarms of Blood Bats.
• Ye Qiu and Hu Liena battled the Dark Gold Three-Headed Bat King, and Ye Qiu destroyed all three of its heads before Hu Liena pulled him back to the path.

Ye Qiu completed the Hell Road and joined Bibi Dong in defeating the King of Slaughter, gaining a new Spirit Ring and Tang Chen’s memories. After receiving his third trial, he returned to the mainland and revealed his strength to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.

• Ye Qiu and Hu Liena killed the Ten Headed Fierce Yang Serpent, then crossed the blood lake and completed the Hell Road, earning Ye Qiu the Divine Slaughter's Domain and a new trial to kill the King of Slaughter.
• Ye Qiu, Hu Liena, and Ling Yuan confronted the King of Slaughter, and Bibi Dong arrived through a purple vortex to suppress the City of Slaughter’s Spirit Rings.
• Bibi Dong defeated the King of Slaughter and exposed the Blood Red Nine-Headed Bat King within him, then had the Bat King sacrifice itself to Ye Qiu.
• Bibi Dong fought Tang Chen, learned the Great Sumeru Hammer method from his memories, and killed him after Ye Qiu told him Tang Yuehua was safe on Sea God Island.
• Bibi Dong transferred Tang Chen’s memories and martial techniques to Ye Qiu, then told him his next trial was in the Far North before departing.
• The God King of Destruction confirmed Ye Qiu’s success and set his third trial: obtain a Fierce Beast-level sixth Spirit Ring within one year.
• Ye Qiu left Ling Yuan in charge of the City of Slaughter, said goodbye to Hu Liena, and returned to Spirit City before departing for the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
• Ye Qiu showed Ning Fengzhi, Sword Douluo, and Bone Douluo his new strength and revealed that he and Xiao Lan had received the inheritances of the God Kings of Destruction and Life.

Ye Qiu returned from the City of Slaughter, reunited with Qian Renxue and his companions, and helped the women advance their trials and obtain Spirit Rings. The arc ended with Liu Erlong becoming a Level 93 Title Douluo and Ye Qiu preparing to take Shui Bing'er to the Far North.

• Ye Qiu told Ning Fengzhi that Soul Hall could confront Xue Beng’s supporters, then revealed to Dugu Bo and the Hall Masters that he had inherited the God King of Destruction.
• Ye Qiu reunited with Qian Renxue, shared his gains from the City of Slaughter, and learned that Xue Beng’s supporters were preparing for a final confrontation.
• On Sea God Island, Tang Yuehua, Xiao Lan, Ning Rongrong, and the others endured Bo Saixi’s punishing third trial on the Silver Sinking Pillars.
• Ye Qiu arrived on Sea God Island and reunited with Xiao Lan, Ning Rongrong, Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuyun, Zhu Zhuqing, Tang Yuehua, and the other women.
