Background / History
Jingliu returns to the Luofu earlier than intended for what she considers her final journey. Exhausted from suppressing her Mara-Struck condition and stripped of much of her former emotion, she nevertheless retains the will of a martial artist and seeks a means to kill Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance. Her objective is not to create a Star God herself, but to obtain a death-concept weapon capable of killing one. 182 183
She meets Wang Lei after detecting him while he observes her spar with Yanqing. Their ensuing battle on the Flowing Cloud Ferry becomes a contest between Wang Lei's varied abilities and Jingliu's direct, Destruction-empowered swordsmanship. Wang Lei evades her final strike with the Gap and cuts her headband, leading Jingliu to concede and hear him out. 181 182
Wang Lei later uses Void suppression and a potion produced from Jingliu's DNA to ease her Mara-Struck condition and restore memories and emotions. The treatment gives her control rather than a complete cure; she remains committed to locating a weapon in the Prison of Confinement and to destroying Yaoshi. 183
Appearance
Jingliu is a white-haired swordswoman who commonly wears Shenzhou-style clothing and fights using a self-condensed ice greatsword. 221 237
- Her Destruction Path power manifests as sky-blue radiance, ice particles, and a giant ice sword. 182
- Her extreme sword speed and footwork make her movements nearly invisible to ordinary observers. 190 247
- During Mara-Struck episodes, her eyes may glow red and her killing intent becomes markedly more intense. 268
- She normally carries Devouring Sin in its restraining scabbard after receiving it. 268 291
Personality
Jingliu is aloof, concise, and serious about martial arts. She prefers resolving uncertainty through combat rather than extended explanation, and regards personally wielding a sword as an essential expression of human resolve. 220 247
Her hatred of Abundance and its creations is the central force behind her decisions. She is willing to accept surveillance, restrictions, exile, and even the loss of her freedom if doing so grants her a genuine path toward killing Yaoshi. 183 205
Despite her reserved manner, Jingliu proves dependable in battle and can form bonds with others. She spars regularly with allies, accepts Aili Xiya's help during a relapse, and is willing to reconsider her relationship with Bailu rather than treat her as a replacement for Bai Heng. 202 247 268
Abilities & Skills
Swordsmanship
Jingliu is an elite swordmaster whose technique was honed through repeated battles against Abundance followers. Her instincts allow her to react to danger without relying on sight or deliberate calculation. 182
- Uses near-invisible footwork and instantaneous sword strikes, earning the title Unblemished Flying Light. 190 247
- Specializes in long-range sword-energy barrages capable of sealing off an opponent's movement. 182
- Can conceal her presence after attacking, as demonstrated when she evades Yanqing by hiding among containers. 181
- Overwhelms Yanqing in a spar and is considered one of the Luofu's highest-ranking individual combatants. 181 189
- Routinely defeats Leng and Durandal in pure martial-arts sparring. 207 247
Destruction Path and Ice Manifestation
Jingliu channels the Path of Destruction through ice-based sword techniques. This power can directly disrupt Void-based effects and allows her to fight beings with advanced God Bodies. 182 215
- Condenses an ice greatsword without needing a conventional weapon. 220
- Cuts apart Mara-Struck soldiers and Abundance spirit beasts so quickly that allies see only a flash of white light. 190
- Splits Leina's miniature solar flare and defeats the Super Soldier Company by herself. 207
- Shatters Wu Teng's weapon and body despite his Third Generation God Body, then cleaves apart the resulting Void explosion. 215
- Void suppression is ineffective as an offensive tool against her; it can instead ease the pain of her Mara-Struck condition. 182
Mara-Struck Control
Jingliu's Mara-Struck condition is controlled but not wholly cured. Wang Lei's treatment restores her memories and moderates the condition into what the Ten-Lords Commission considers a benign mutation. 183 205
- Meditation helps her suppress Mara-Struck symptoms during long periods of travel. 207
- Recovered memories no longer automatically cause her to attack indiscriminately. 193
- Emotional stimulation, Abundance-related power, and excessive killing can still provoke a relapse. 268
- Aili Xiya can help calm her through Herrscher of Sentience-based hypnosis. 268
Gene Engine and Micro Wormhole Techniques
After receiving Wang Lei's algorithms, Jingliu rapidly adapts to Gene Engine technology while maintaining a preference for fighting with her own martial ability. 185 207
- Runs air-filtration and drug-analysis algorithms in the Alchemy Commission. 185
- Uses Micro Wormholes to enter enemy formations and reposition during combat. 214 215
- Studies Micro Wormhole techniques specifically to prevent opponents such as Leng from escaping or kiting her. 207
- Declines a God-Slaying Weapon when she believes her own skill is sufficient, though she is willing to use technology against an opponent she truly cannot defeat. 220
*Devouring Sin*
Devouring Sin is a demon sword forged from Yaoshi's horn. Its Hunt and Abundance powers create a light-blue Path energy particularly compatible with Jingliu. 268
- Freezes targets in place before cutting them apart with thin blue lines of sword light. 268
- Absorbs life force from injured enemies to replenish itself and empower its wielder. 268
- Amplifies damage through hatred and can raise the wielder's life level through repeated killing. 268
- Risks turning its wielder toward the essence of Abundance and aggravating Mara-Struck instincts. 268
- Is sealed in a Sword Sheath of Constraint with a Void Lock; Jingliu cannot draw it without Wang Lei's permission. 268
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Self-condensed Ice Sword — Jingliu's usual weapon; sufficient against Third Generation God Bodies but less effective against Fourth Generation God Bodies. 220
- Devouring Sin — Demon sword forged from Yaoshi's horn, combining Hunt and Abundance Path powers. 268
- Sword Sheath of Constraint — Restrains Devouring Sin's presence and prevents casual use. 268 291

- Yanqing — Grand-disciple whose potential Jingliu recognizes, though she easily suppresses him in battle. 181 188
