Ch. 541Heaven-Opening Sword Qi Defeats Ghost Chariot

Li Yun trapped Ghost Chariot with the Chaos Divine Light and struck him with three Heaven-Opening sword attacks after he refused to surrender. Nuwa intervened to save Ghost Chariot and countered the sword qi with the Red Embroidered Ball, which continued toward Li Yun.

  • Da Peng resolved to develop the Yin-Yang Divine Light and Five-Colored Divine Light separately, while Kong Xuan approved of his plan.
  • Zhunti considered transforming the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree into a divine ability, but Jieyin warned him that doing so could destabilize his foundation.
  • Li Yun offered Ghost Chariot a chance to surrender, but Ghost Chariot refused.
  • Li Yun sealed Ghost Chariot's area with the Chaos Divine Light and unleashed three forms of Heaven-Opening Sword Qi, leaving Ghost Chariot unable to dodge.
  • Di Jun called for Saint Nuwa to intervene, and Nuwa asked Laozi to stop Li Yun.
  • Laozi opened an independent space, allowing Nuwa to rescue Ghost Chariot; she used the Red Embroidered Ball to block the sword qi, then sent it toward Li Yun.

Ch. 542Nuwa's Killing Intent, the Entire Crowd Erupts

After Laozi stopped Nuwa from killing Li Yun, the two sides exchanged threats and Nuwa left with Fuxi. Li Yun’s victory over Ghost Chariot stunned the gathered powers, and he ended the chapter by asking Di Jun when he would hand over the Fusang Tree.

  • Laozi shattered part of Nuwa’s Red Embroidered Ball and warned that Li Yun would seek repayment for her attack.
  • Li Yun threatened to repay Nuwa, who left the independent space with Fuxi.
  • Ghost Chariot admitted defeat to Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi, and Di Jun acknowledged Li Yun’s strength.
  • The gathered powers reacted with shock and fear at Li Yun’s victory and his Heaven-Opening sword techniques.
  • Li Yun emerged with Laozi and asked Di Jun when he would deliver the Fusang Tree.

Ch. 543Fusang Tree Changes Hands, Dijiang Steps In

Li Yun claimed the Fusang Tree as his spoils, and Laozi forcibly brought it from the Solar Star to the Human Ancestral Land. After Di Jun challenged Li Yun over the loss, Dijiang intervened and offered the Witch Clan’s support.

  • Di Jun agreed to give Li Yun the Fusang Tree but implied that taking it from the Solar Star would be difficult.
  • Li Yun asked Laozi to retrieve the tree, and Laozi opened a space tunnel and uprooted it from the Solar Star.
  • Li Yun stored the Fusang Tree in his Twenty-Four Heavens and thanked Di Jun for the gift.
  • Di Jun expressed anger over the loss and challenged Li Yun to a confrontation.
  • Dijiang stepped in, backed Li Yun on behalf of the Witch Clan, and dared Di Jun to fight him.

Ch. 544Di Jun's Unwillingness, Another Wager?

After the battle ended, Di Jun proposed a new wager with Li Yun: their disciples and descendants would compete in one hundred thousand years. Li Yun accepted and asked what Di Jun would stake.

  • Di Jun threatened Dijiang over their past dispute, then turned to Li Yun and suggested another wager to recover the Fusang Tree.
  • Li Yun asked whether Di Jun meant to send the other Demon Commanders to fight, and Di Jun rejected the idea after recognizing they could not match him.
  • Di Jun proposed a contest between Li Yun’s disciples and his descendants in one hundred thousand years, initially requiring both sides to remain below the Quasi-Saint Realm.
  • Li Yun accepted the contest but rejected the cultivation restriction and asked Di Jun what he intended to wager.

Ch. 545The wager was sealed, and the Ten Jade Rabbits were born

Li Yun and Di Jun sealed a wager over the Fusang Tree and the Osmanthus Tree, while Xi He gave birth to ten Jade Rabbits whose birth restored the Demon Clan’s fortune. Di Jun celebrated his daughters’ arrival and invited the cultivators to a feast on the Lunar Star.

  • Di Jun demanded the Fusang Tree as his stake, and Li Yun asked for the Osmanthus Tree in return for the wager.
  • Di Jun accepted Li Yun’s terms, sealing the wager and astonishing the cultivators with the value of the stakes.

  • Bai Ze and the other Demon Clan cultivators congratulated Di Jun after realizing Xi He had given birth to ten Jade Rabbits.
  • Di Jun celebrated the birth of his daughters and announced a feast on the Lunar Star ten thousand years later.

Ch. 546Nuwa's Cover-Up, Taiyi's Turmoil

  • Di Jun celebrated the Ten Jade Rabbits’ birth and invited the gathered Great Spiritual Power Users to a celebration in ten thousand years.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi sensed that the Jade Rabbits were his children, while Laozi, Yuanshi Tianzun, Sect Master Tongtian, Jieyin, and Zhunti calculated their parentage.
  • Nuwa used the Qian Kun Ding to erase information about the Jade Rabbits’ parentage, but the Saints had already uncovered it.
  • Laozi urged Di Jun to return to his newborn children, and Di Jun departed with Eastern Emperor Taiyi, Kunpeng, and the others.
  • The gathered cultivators recognized that the Jade Rabbits’ birth had shifted the balance between the Heavenly Dao, Humanity Dao, and Earthly Dao, while Dijiang reacted with anger.

Ch. 547All Gods Depart, Kong Xuan's Invitation

After Li Yun’s Enthronement Ceremony, Dijiang and the gathered cultivators departed as the Demon Clan’s resurgence threatened the Witch Clan and others. Kong Xuan invited Li Yun to Da Peng’s Phoenix Clan Master enthronement in three thousand years, while Laozi asked Yuanshi Tianzun to stay and speak with him.

  • Dijiang left the Human Ancestral Land to return to the Witch Clan and discuss the Demon Clan’s rise.

Ch. 548Laozi's Demand, Huang Long's Request

Laozi asked Yuanshi Tianzun to let Li Yun retrieve the Yellow Middle Plum and Immortal Apricot from Kunlun Mountain, and the two Saints avoided a fight after Laozi argued the trees were his by right. Huang Long arrived as a Quasi-Saint Nine-Claw Golden Dragon and asked Yuanshi Tianzun to accept the Ancestor Dragon Lineage as a dependent race of the Chan Teachings, leaving the reason for the Dragon Clan’s desperate request to be explained.

  • Laozi told Yuanshi Tianzun that Li Yun would retrieve the Yellow Middle Plum and Immortal Apricot from Kunlun Mountain.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun objected, but Laozi claimed the Yellow Middle Plum as his and argued that Kunlun Mountain’s fortune entitled him to the Immortal Apricot; Yuanshi Tianzun’s anger eased.
  • A Nine-Claw Golden Dragon arrived, and Bai Jie, Zhenwu, and Yuanshi Tianzun recognized him as Huang Long.
  • Huang Long thanked Yuanshi Tianzun for saving him with a token and revealed that he had returned to the Dragon Clan, evolved his bloodline, and reached the Quasi-Saint realm.
  • Huang Long knelt and asked Yuanshi Tianzun to accept the Ancestor Dragon Lineage as a dependent race of the Chan Teachings; Yuanshi Tianzun questioned what had happened to prompt the request.

Ch. 549Saint's Dependents, Eastern Duke's Broken Defenses

Huang Long asked Yuanshi Tianzun to protect the Ancestor Dragon Lineage from Blood Dragon, and Yuanshi made it a dependent of the Chan Teachings. Eastern Duke’s plan to bring the Dragon Clan under his control was disrupted, while the Four Seas Dragon Kings quietly welcomed the change.

  • Huang Long told Yuanshi Tianzun that Blood Dragon had subdued the Four Seas Dragon Kings’ faction and threatened the Ancestor Dragon Lineage, whose elders had given Huang Long authority to decide their fate.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun failed to see through the interference surrounding Blood Dragon and, recalling Li Yun’s account of Eastern Duke’s reincarnation, chose to prevent Hongjun from controlling the Dragon Clan.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun accepted Huang Long’s request and declared the Ancestor Dragon Lineage a dependent race of the Chan Teachings.
  • Huang Long swore that the Ancestor Dragon Lineage would belong to the Chan Teachings, and the lineage’s elders sensed the change and accepted the protection it brought.
  • Eastern Duke learned that the Ancestor Dragon Lineage had become a Chan Teachings dependent and blamed Yuanshi Tianzun for ruining his plans.
  • The Four Seas Dragon Kings sensed the change and felt envious, since Huang Long’s move had spared his lineage from being enslaved by Eastern Duke.

Ch. 550True Dragon's Fury, Candle Dragon's Inquiry

Candle Dragon summoned Qingyun and learned that Blood Dragon was Eastern Duke’s reincarnation, acting with Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao to seize control of the Dragon Clan. Candle Dragon recognized that exposing the scheme could provoke a battle the Dragon Clan could not win, and asked whether Qingyun could become Laozi’s disciple; Qingyun said he could instead become Li Yun’s mount.

  • Candle Dragon awoke in the Dragon Tomb, sensed the change in the Dragon Clan’s fortune, and ordered Qingyun brought to him.

  • Candle Dragon asked Qingyun whether he would accept the arrangement, and Qingyun agreed, citing its benefits and the dangers of the coming conflict.
  • Candle Dragon gave Qingyun the Sea Calming Divine Pearl, which Li Yun needed, and placed his divine sense inside it so he could speak with Laozi and Li Yun.
  • Candle Dragon named Qingyun young lord of the Candle Dragon Lineage, and the gathered true dragons bowed to him.
  • Qingyun thanked Candle Dragon and left to deliver the pearl and arrange the meeting with Laozi.
  • Candle Dragon explained that the Dragon Clan needed to support Humanity Dao because two of its three lineages had aligned with Heavenly Dao, then turned to Ao You and the Nether Dragon Lineage.

Ch. 552An Agreement Reached, Qingyun Returns

Candle Dragon agreed to have the Nether Dragon Lineage contact the Earthly Dao, while Li Yun warned Huang Long about the dangers facing the Dragon Clan and prepared to collect two treasures from Kunlun Mountain. After Yuanshi Tianzun took Li Yun and the others to Kunlun, Qingyun returned to Laozi with Candle Dragon’s message.

  • Laozi promised to give the Dragon Clan a loyal Dragon Emperor and a share of the Human Race's incense power if Candle Dragon fulfilled his offer.
  • Candle Dragon was excited by Laozi's promise of incense power.

Ch. 554Candle Dragon's Excitement, the Jade Rabbits' Hidden Danger

Candle Dragon accepted Laozi’s proposal to support Humanity Dao and provide Dragon Clan bloodline origin, while Di Jun and the others celebrated the birth of the Ten Jade Rabbits. Xi He revealed that the rabbits were congenitally deficient because of the Extreme Yang power within them, and the chapter ended with everyone turning to Nuwa for help.

  • Laozi assured Candle Dragon that his promises were genuine and explained that he sought to grow Humanity Dao so he could eventually take revenge on Hongjun.
  • Candle Dragon agreed to prepare and send the Dragon Clan’s bloodline origin to Laozi.
  • Di Jun and the others returned to the Lunar Star and celebrated Xi He’s birth of the Ten Jade Rabbits.
  • Xi He told Di Jun and the others that Extreme Yang power had left the Jade Rabbits frail and limited their future cultivation.
  • Di Jun asked Nuwa to resolve the rabbits’ condition, and Nuwa reluctantly considered her painful past experience.

Ch. 555Solution, Repeated Rejections

Fuxi said Nuwa could not repeat the method that had once helped her, and Nuwa proposed using the Cai Bu Technique to absorb the Extreme Yang energy from the Ten Jade Rabbits, despite the danger to them. Kunpeng suggested that Li Yun might do it safely, but Di Jun rejected asking their enemy for help, and Bai Ze proposed seeking guidance from the Queen Mother of the West.

  • Fuxi told Di Jun and the others that Nuwa had no replicable solution for removing the Jade Rabbit Princesses’ Extreme Yang energy.
  • Nuwa said a cultivator of the Cai Bu Technique could absorb the energy, but Eastern Emperor Taiyi warned that the method could ruin the Ten Jade Rabbits.
  • Kunpeng proposed that Li Yun could draw out the energy without harming the princesses because of his powerful Extreme Yang energy.
  • Di Jun refused to involve Li Yun, fearing the Human Race Great Emperor would exploit the Demon Clan’s vulnerability.
  • Kunpeng said no one besides Li Yun could resolve the danger, and Bai Ze suggested asking the Queen Mother of the West for guidance.

Ch. 556The Primordial World's White Moonlight, the Stunned Chan Golden Immortals

Di Jun tasked Bai Ze with seeking the Queen Mother of the West’s help, promising to accept any terms if she had a solution. At Kunlun Mountain, Yu Ding and the others discovered that Zhenwu, Bai Jie, and Huang Long had become Quasi-Saints.

  • Di Jun told Bai Ze to negotiate with the Queen Mother of the West and refuse nothing if she could help.
  • Bai Ze left the Lunar Star for West Kunlun, while Nuwa, Fuxi, and the others departed as well.

  • Zhenwu, Bai Jie, and Huang Long said they had advanced to the Quasi-Saint realm through a Fortuitous Encounter.

Ch. 557Huang Long Comes Clean, Li Yun's Warning

Huang Long revealed that he had reached the Quasi-Saint Realm by inheriting the Ancestor Dragon’s power and following the path of Attaining Dao through Destiny, a method Li Yun had introduced. Li Yun explained the limits and risks of different paths and began warning Tai Yi and Yu Ding against pursuing Attaining Dao through Strength.

  • Yu Ding and the others learned Huang Long had reached the Quasi-Saint Realm and asked how he had advanced so quickly.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun explained that Huang Long’s inheritance, bloodline transformation, and access to the Dragon Clan’s and Chan Teachings’ destiny had raised his cultivation.
  • Huang Long said Li Yun had proposed Attaining Dao through Destiny to Randeng and that he had chosen it because of his unique advantages and limited aptitude.
  • Li Yun explained that Attaining Dao through Destiny was relatively safe but had a fixed upper limit, while Zhenwu and Bai Jie felt relieved about their choice to Attain Dao through Law.
  • Tai Yi asked whether Attaining Dao through Strength was viable, and Li Yun warned him and Yu Ding that the path carried risks and that its first and final steps were especially difficult.

Ch. 558Yellow Middle Plum and Immortal Apricot in Hand

Yuanshi Tianzun offered the Chan Teachings' disciples a secret Method of Attaining Dao through Law, then gave Li Yun the Yellow Middle Plum and Immortal Apricot to deliver to Laozi. Li Yun left Kunlun Mountain, and Yuanshi Tianzun began preparing to teach his disciples.

  • Zhenwu and Bai Jie hesitated over whether to keep cultivating their own races' methods or seek Yuanshi Tianzun's method.
  • Randeng delivered the Yellow Middle Plum and Immortal Apricot to Yuanshi Tianzun, who confirmed the treasures and handed them to Li Yun for Laozi.

  • Pan Wang thanked Li Yun, and the two set out together for West Kunlun.

Ch. 560Bai Ze entered West Kunlun and met the Queen Mother of the West again

Li Yun and Pan Wang followed Bai Ze into West Kunlun and learned that the Demon Commander had come to ask the Queen Mother of the West for help. Bai Ze asked whether she knew how to resolve pure yang power existing within a pure yin body without harming the person or depleting their primordial yin.

  • Li Yun and Pan Wang saw Bai Ze enter West Kunlun and followed him to discover why the Queen Mother of the West was receiving a Demon Commander.
  • The Queen Mother of the West told Li Yun and Pan Wang that she had invited Li Yun because the matter involved sensitive information, not because anyone had threatened her.
  • Bai Ze noticed Li Yun and worried that their conflict might interfere with his request for help.
  • Li Yun noticed Bai Ze's reaction to the Queen Mother of the West and suspected he admired her.
  • Bai Ze asked the Queen Mother of the West for a harmless way to resolve pure yang power within a pure yin body without losing primordial yin.
