Bo Yikao’s allied forces challenged Jiebei Pass, and Di Xin rallied Great Shang’s ten million soldiers to launch an all-out battle. As the armies prepared to clash, Wen Zhong denounced Bo Yikao, who reluctantly shouted back with his eyes closed.

• The Xiqi Allied Army waited until night to attack Jiebei Pass, and Bo Yikao sent a soldier to challenge Di Xin.
• Di Xin ordered the soldier killed, prompting Bo Yikao to command his forces to attack and capture Di Xin.
• Di Xin rallied the Human Race with the Kongtong Seal and Human Emperor Sword, then led Great Shang’s army out of Jiebei Pass to meet the enemy.
• Wen Zhong and Huang Feihu took command at the front, while Wen Zhong condemned Bo Yikao for betraying the Human Race.
• Xuandu berated Bo Yikao for failing to answer Wen Zhong, and Bo Yikao finally shouted insults and threats with his eyes closed.

Wen Zhong and Huang Feihu led Great Shang into battle against Xiqi, while the dragons helped turn the tide against the demons and Heavenly Soldiers. As Xiqi began to falter, Minghe sent the Asura Clan to attack Great Shang’s left flank, and Han Rong and Li Jing led their troops to meet them.

• Huang Feihu and Wen Zhong rallied Great Shang’s soldiers and charged Xiqi, beginning a bloody battle across the battlefield.
• The dragons fought the Phoenix Clan in the sky, then sent part of their force to aid Great Shang on the ground.
• Great Shang’s human soldiers fought the demons and Heavenly Soldiers fearlessly, eroding Xiqi’s advantage and pushing its forces toward defeat.
• Laozi urged Minghe to act as Xiqi faltered, and Minghe sent Asuras from the Sea of Blood to join the Asura Clan on Xiqi’s side.
• Han Rong led his troops against the Asuras, and Li Jing joined him with Jin Zha and Mu Zha.

With Di Xin’s fortune-powered Great Shang army gaining the upper hand at Jiebei Pass, Taotie and the other great demons attacked, only to be stopped by Kong Xuan and the Interception Sect disciples. The battle ended with the demons locked in a struggle overhead while the Xiqi rebels began retreating below.

• Di Xin empowered Great Shang’s warriors with the Kongtong Seal, helping them push back Xiqi’s combined forces despite heavy losses.
• Haotian ordered Taotie, Qiongqi, Taowu, and the other great demons to stop holding back and attack the Great Shang army.
• Di Xin unleashed fortune dragons against the demons, but Taotie and the others broke through them and charged toward the soldiers.
• Kong Xuan intercepted the demons and fought them, but Qiongqi and the others began to overwhelm him with their numbers.
• Yun Xiao, Zhao Gongming, the San Xiao, Saintess Jinling, Saintess Guiling, and other Interception Sect disciples joined the fight, restoring the balance against the demons.
• The aerial battle remained deadlocked as the Xiqi rebels began retreating and Great Shang’s army pressed forward.

As Xiqi's forces neared defeat, Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning sent Guangchengzi and the Golden Immortals into battle, where they attacked the Great Shang army and clashed with San Xiao. Zhunti and Jieyin then committed the Western Sect's disciples, including Silver Sword Venerable, leaving Di Xin furious as Great Shang fell into further danger.

• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning ordered Guangchengzi and the other Golden Immortals to join the battle after Xiqi's forces began to lose.
• Guangchengzi attacked the Great Shang army with the Sky-Reversing Seal, but Di Xin blocked it with the Kongtong Seal's Human Race fortune while other treasures caused casualties.
• San Xiao attacked Guangchengzi's group, but nine Golden Immortals overwhelmed them, and Daoist Burning Lamp struck them from behind before Zhao Gongming forced him to turn aside.
• Daoist Burning Lamp's attack grievously injured San Xiao, while Zhao Gongming remained occupied fighting Qiongqi, Taotie, and the other demons.
• Zhunti and Jieyin sent Maitreya, Golden Sword Venerable, Bronze Sword Venerable, Silver Sword Venerable, and other Western Sect disciples into battle, worsening Great Shang's position and enraging Di Xin.

As Great Shang faced slaughter by the Sect of Enlightenment and Western Sect, Duobao led the Interception Sect to support Di Xin. Di Xin declared the Interception Sect the Human Race’s sect, and Heavenly Dao confirmed the alliance, leaving the Interception Sect and Human Race bound to share their fortunes.

• Maitreya and Silver Sword Venerable attacked the Great Shang army, killing tens of thousands while Silver Sword Venerable concealed his Quasi-Saint strength.
• Di Xin pushed the Kongtong Seal to its limit as the Great Shang army fell into disarray under the immortal disciples’ assault.
• Duobao led the Interception Sect disciples onto the battlefield and condemned the slaughter of mortals.
• Di Xin used the Kongtong Seal to declare the Interception Sect the Human Race’s sect and invited it to share the Human Race’s fortune.
• The Eye of Heavenly Dao approved the decree, making the Human Race disciples of the Interception Sect and causing Laozi and the other observers to despair.
• Duobao accepted the alliance and declared that the Interception Sect and Human Race would share prosperity and hardship.

Duobao began deploying the Interception Sect’s Myriad Immortals Formation to defeat Xiqi’s forces, prompting Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning to attack. Sect Master Tongtian and Qin Hong intervened, and after Tongtian denounced the Saints’ schemes, Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning prepared to fight him.

• Duobao ordered the Interception Sect disciples to form the Myriad Immortals Formation against the allied forces threatening the Human Race.
• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning appeared, accused the Interception Sect of defying Heaven, and attacked Duobao.
• Sect Master Tongtian arrived with Qin Hong and nullified Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning’s attack.
• Qin Hong mocked Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning over his earlier surrender of the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi.

Sect Master Tongtian and Qin Hong joined the battle at Jiebei Pass, overwhelming the allied saints while the Interception Sect’s formation crushed the invading forces. Minghe entered the fight but was confronted by Zhenyuanzi, leaving the battle still raging above Jiebei Pass.

• Sect Master Tongtian used the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation to suppress Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning, forcing Laozi to join the fight as Zhunti and Jieyin arrived.
• Qin Hong blocked Zhunti and Jieyin and fought them with the God-Slaying Spear while Duobao led the Interception Sect in forming the Myriad Immortals Formation.
• The Myriad Immortals Formation killed the forces that charged into it, while Sect Master Tongtian and Qin Hong gained the upper hand against the four saints.
• Laozi called for Minghe to help, and Minghe stopped collecting souls and attacked Sect Master Tongtian.

The Saint battle raged above Jiebei Pass while the Myriad Immortals Formation protected Great Shang and slaughtered Xiqi troops sent into it. As Sect Master Tongtian and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning argued over the formation, Immortal Chang'er Dingguang betrayed the Interception Sect and offered Yuanshi the Six Souls Banner.

• Saints battled in the starry sky as the destruction below left the Primordial Era’s spiritual veins in ruins.
• The Myriad Immortals Formation let Great Shang regain its footing, and Laozi ordered Qiongqi and Taowu to break it and destroy Di Xin.
• Qiongqi and Taowu sent a massive force into the formation, where Duobao ordered the Interception Sect to kill and one-third of the invading troops died.
• Sect Master Tongtian declared that even Yuanshi could not break the Myriad Immortals Formation, and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning vowed to prove him wrong.

Immortal Chang'er Dingguang betrayed Sect Master Tongtian and handed Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning the advantage needed to weaken the Myriad Immortals Formation. Haotian and the allied forces attacked the Interception Sect, while Tongtian launched a furious assault on Laozi and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning.

• Immortal Chang'er Dingguang admitted that he had betrayed Sect Master Tongtian for Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning's offer, then knelt and thanked him.
• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning raised the Six Souls Banner and called Haotian to join the battle.
• Haotian arrived with Queen Mother Yaochi and the Heavenly Soldiers and Heavenly Generals, then declared he would strip Di Xin of his title and make the Human Race subjects of the Heavenly Court.
• Di Xin defied Haotian, and Haotian led the Heavenly Court forces and Xiqi's allies in an attack on the weakened Myriad Immortals Formation.
• As Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning mocked him, Sect Master Tongtian activated the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation and attacked him and Laozi.

The allied forces attacked the Myriad Immortals Formation, only to be annihilated by its unexpectedly overwhelming power. Sect Master Tongtian revealed that Immortal Chang'er Dingguang’s Six Souls Banner was fake and that he had long known about the betrayal, leaving Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning and Laozi despairing as their plans collapsed.

• Laozi and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning joined forces to withstand Sect Master Tongtian while Zhunti, Jieyin, and Minghe pinned down Qin Hong and the other defenders.
• Haotian and the allied forces charged into the Myriad Immortals Formation, where its interlocking formations destroyed the attacking troops in a single exchange.
• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning accused Sect Master Tongtian of secretly strengthening the formation, but Tongtian denied knowing what he meant.
• Sect Master Tongtian revealed that the Six Souls Banner given up by Immortal Chang'er Dingguang had been fake and that he had long known Chang'er was a traitor.

Qin Hong taunted Zhunti and Jieyin as they considered fleeing, then learned that Laozi and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning had enlisted Nuwa to intercept Houtu and that Hongjun would lift restrictions on the Three Sages of Huoyun Cave. He concluded that the Heavenly Dao’s own laws would prevent it from destroying itself and declared that he was not afraid of it.

• Zhunti and Jieyin tried to retreat, but Laozi urged them to stay by promising the Western Sect a fortune if they won.
• Qin Hong warned Zhunti and Jieyin that his wives would chase them, and Laozi revealed that Nuwa had gone to intercept Houtu.
• Laozi explained that Nuwa was acting to help the Three Sages of Huoyun Cave and that Hongjun would lift their restrictions if Houtu was stopped.
• Qin Hong accused Laozi and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning of using his brother-in-law to pressure Nuwa, then realized Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao were involved in the conflict.

Qin Hong fought Zhunti and Jieyin while Sect Master Tongtian's Immortal Slaying Sword Formation overwhelmed Laozi, as Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning went to rescue his disciples from the Myriad Immortals Formation. The chapter ended with Yu Ding Zhenren dying inside the formation.

• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning asked Laozi, Zhunti, and Jieyin to hold off their opponents while he went to rescue their disciples.
• Qin Hong charged Zhunti and Jieyin, withstood their treasures, and wounded them until they fled from him.

Laozi escaped Tongtian’s Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, once again abandoning Zhunti and Jieyin as they faced Qin Hong.

• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning, Haotian, Yaochi, and Minghe realized their forces were trapped and ordered or attempted rescues as the Myriad Immortals Formation slaughtered their followers.
• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning pulled the surviving Sect of Enlightenment disciples out of the formation, but nearly all of their third- and fourth-generation disciples had died.
• Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning ordered the rescued disciples to flee after the allied plan collapsed.
• Tongtian intensified the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation’s attacks when Laozi tried to retreat.

Qin Hong killed Zhunti and Jieyin after rejecting their offer of treasures, while Taishang and Heavenly Lord of Original Beginning escaped. Minghe tried to flee after Zhenyuanzi cornered him, but Qin Hong blocked his path.

• Zhunti and Jieyin attacked Qin Hong, then begged him to spare them and offered the Yin Yang Wooden Fish and Chaos Alms Bowl.

After Laozi’s self-destruction destroyed Shouyang Mountain, everyone believed Qin Hong and Sect Master Tongtian had died. A Thirty-six-petal Creation Green Lotus appeared and revealed that both had survived, leaving their enemies stunned and furious.

• Houtu blamed Nuwa and vowed revenge on the people responsible for Qin Hong’s apparent death, while Nuwa wept and accepted blame.
• Interception Sect disciples and Di Xin mourned Qin Hong and Sect Master Tongtian as their enemies celebrated the destruction of Shouyang Mountain.

Qin Hong proposed gathering Human Race destiny through worship to free Nuwa’s brothers from Huoyun Cave, and Nuwa agreed to his plan. After privately telling her something more, he sent her back to Wa Palace and reassured Houtu about welcoming Nuwa as another wife.
