As he watched the spell model Mestur had left behind, Punk unexpectedly found himself at a loss for words.
There was no doubt that, as a Blazing Sun-tier spellcaster, Mr. Piknat had been a genuine genius. If his Soul Fusion Technique truly could bypass the River of Fate's interference and help Blazing Sun Professionals advance to the divine throne, then the Archmage had not been exaggerating when he claimed that he was no less capable than any Archmage of the Netheril era.
After all, not just anyone could develop a Blazing Sun Spell of such a level. Its very existence was a culmination of knowledge, inspiration, and luck!
However, the question worth pondering now was... what kind of tremendous bloodshed would such a super spell, one founded upon hunting Blazing Sun Professionals, bring to the present Legendary Island Era?
Punk could not imagine the scene marking the "beginning of a new era," but he knew that if the Chairman's series of schemes against the Mage Guild, including personally killing the Archmage Mestur in the end, could only be considered the beginning of the Fate Tide, then Piknat's Soul Fusion Technique might be the true body of the monstrous waves to come.
With this spell in existence, the former state in which the many Blazing Sun Professionals kept out of one another's affairs and never interacted could no longer be maintained.
