This was the disaster-stricken Hatak Imperial Nation. Intermittent tremors could still be felt anywhere within Hatak, but its nobles and professionals no longer had the leisure to care about such "low-level threats" as earthquakes. They were gathering in groups near the border, preparing to leave the country.

That was right. This group of several hundred professionals and nobles intended to flee. The nobles had prepared wagon after wagon loaded with property, while the professionals kept anxiously glancing up at the scorching, cloudless sky.

They wanted to leave because nearly everyone in the Hatak Imperial Nation now knew that a tremendous disaster had descended. Vast quantities of fragments of laws had crashed within Hatak's borders, causing such horrific casualties that even the mages responsible for communications spoke with broken voices. The unending earthquakes told every intelligent creature in the Hatak Imperial Nation one thing—disaster had arrived.

Most importantly, when such a terrifying catastrophe struck, the Legendary Protector expert of the Hatak Imperial Nation, "Whisper of Destruction," showed no sign of appearing...

At that point, anyone with even a little knowledge had nearly thought of the most terrifying possibility—their nation's Protector expert was fighting another powerful Legendary professional. Their nation's Whisper of Destruction might even be unable to defeat the unknown enemy!

A battle between Legendary powerhouses could be called the most terrifying, destructive, and unsolvable disaster that could exist on the Faerun plane. Even ordinary commoners often heard bards sing in Heroic Epics at taverns that battles between Legendary professionals could casually destroy several nations.
