Two thousand years meant nothing to a Legendary powerhouse. Just as the stars filling the sky remained brilliant and dazzling after the passage of time, true strength often endured through the flow of ages. Although such a span was enough to bring countless earthshaking changes to a kingdom, mere changes of sea and land, the passage of time itself, could not leave a trace upon a creation of the Legendary tier.
After all... whether repairing or destroying a magic tower, a spellcaster had to do it personally. Patching up one enormous hole might not take much time, but replenishing the emptied storage shelves was a task with no end in sight.
After failing his first-ever golem-making experiment, Punk made no major moves over the following nearly two thousand years. Although he still had quite a few Legendary projects he wanted to research, a spellcaster's studies could not be conducted without resources. Yet the magical resources in Punk's storage room had run low after repairing the magic tower and remaking an entire set of alchemy tools. Many kinds of Legendary metal, which had never been plentiful to begin with, had already been completely used up. Even Punk could conduct no experimental research in such impoverished circumstances.
What was more, the ten-thousand-year appointment had drawn close without his noticing. Time had to be budgeted and calculated carefully. For a cautious and efficiency-minded spellcaster, rather than greedily using this little time to acquire more magic equipment or master more Legendary Magic, it was better to honestly consolidate his foundations and reflect upon that unforgettable golem explosion.
At the very least, he should selectively produce some simple Legendary Level Alchemy Potions to sell to Mimibes or bring along on adventures. Although doing so would undoubtedly make the Legendary Mage's already rather empty storage room
