Flames, flames, flames everywhere!
After the female priest carefully used a divine shield to protect Atedilon's statue, she turned back to assess the situation and was shocked to discover that the church, once covered by a Formal Level divine shield, had already been consumed by blazing fire.
Clearly, whoever could launch such a terrifying attack within the headquarters of the Fuleila Plane's most central religious power was no ordinary being. The sheer horror of the assault was obvious from its sudden arrival, its instant tearing apart of the defenses, and its unstoppable, undetectable methods—now, the disaster scattered throughout the shattered church was neither broken stone nor suddenly appearing enemies, but countless strange orange-yellow flames dancing between the walls and metal vessels.
These unusual flames released neither billowing smoke nor spread wildly. They merely hopped about across the floor like living creatures. As the stone floor, carved with decorative patterns, rapidly cracked and shattered under the intense heat, the "mischievous" flames began to scatter, casually seeking out Hurricane God Cult believers who were still frozen in shock.
Then, a scene of unimaginable horror unfolded within the once peaceful and sacred church!
Upon spotting the still-dazed priest apprentices, the lively flames suddenly began hopping faster. Like cats that had caught the scent of fish, they swiftly pounced toward several priests' bodies. All Apprentice Level defensive divine spells, and even Formal Level means of resistance, proved utterly ineffective before the blazing fire. More than a hundred palm-sized flames moved through the smoke with unprecedented freedom, and in less than a few seconds, these terrifying little foreign devils had each found a target in the church where the clergy were most densely gathered.
Then... like torches plunged into fuel, like strong liquor poured into a fire pit, the flames erupted in an instant and
