It had to be admitted that Mestur had cleverly seized upon the information limitations of the Legendary Island Era. In a sense, once his plan officially began to unfold, theoretically no one in this world should have been able to notice and stop it in time.
After all, even the Shattered Talisman Society, which had the greatest stake in sorcerers, had only two legendary members permanently stationed on the Faerun plane. One of them was even the sort who "nominally followed orders but was actually always absent without leave"...
