Background / History

Origin and purpose

World Beasts are bred only after tens of thousands—or more—Reincarnation Eras. They stand opposed to the Original Universe: the Original Universe represents life, while World Beasts represent destruction under the Supreme Rule. Their emergence triggers a calamity capable of destroying the Original Universe, miniature universes, and Holy Land Universes alike. 530 595

A normal calamity begins with one billion World Beasts in the gestation stage. They are driven to slaughter and devour one another until a sole survivor becomes the World Beast King. The final king enters the growth stage and is powerful enough that the Cosmic Sea cannot stop it. 530 669

World Beasts are constrained by their nature. Their hearts instinctively yearn for destruction, and none can survive the Great Destruction to enter the next Origin World era; only soul enslavement can suppress this drive. 735

Conflict with the Cosmic Sea

Xu Feng learns of the World Beast threat through the Tether Silk Diagram and Black Divine Wood, then warns the Human Race not to enter the Dark Land recklessly. He enters Qingfeng Realm to obtain World Beast Blood and investigate their structure. 529 530

During his first encounters, Xu Feng discovers that World Beasts can enslave Cosmic Sea experts, use them to lure prey, communicate in the Universal Language, and unleash soul attacks carrying willpower and illusion effects. He captures Garuda for research and later captures Lagoss, using their bodies to study the World Beast Life Diagram and the internal “world.” 531 532 533

The World Beasts accelerate their evolution after learning of the Cosmic Sea’s rapid growth and Xu Feng’s extraordinary breakthrough. When Xu Feng’s 100,000x Gene breakthrough forces the World Beasts to kneel beneath golden light, they regard it as unbearable humiliation and prepare an early invasion. 637 642 644

Invasion and final selection

More than twenty million World Beasts enter the Cosmic Sea under Mohe’s command. Xu Feng confronts their army, destroys Meng Wu’s World Light Passage, and kills numerous Tier 3 World Beasts, forcing the race to unite and retreat into the Dark Land. 648 650 661

Luo Feng enslaves the Tier 3 World Beast Moluo Che. In response, the remaining World Beasts begin a frenzied, coordinated slaughter to create stronger members quickly; Mohe becomes the first Tier 5 World Beast, and 507 World Beasts eventually reach Tier 5. 665 666 667

Xu Feng and Luo Feng exploit the Hell Realm and the Iron Rule of Destiny to enslave multiple Tier 5 World Beasts. Most remaining World Beasts choose self-destruction rather than enslavement, while Bedi continues evolving in hiding. Luo Feng ultimately enslaves Bedi, then allows Moluo Che to devour him and become the final World Beast King. 669 670

Appearance

A standard Tier 1 World Beast is an ugly, pitch-black, naked creature with a one-eyed head at both its front and back. It has two arms, two legs, one mouth, and one nose, but lacks ears and eyebrows. 657

  • Tier 1 form — Black body, two one-eyed heads, and a distinctly inhuman build. 657
  • Higher-tier forms — Tier 5 World Beasts develop intricate blood-red patterns over their bodies as their Destruction Power rises. 666 667
  • World Beast King — Moluo Che’s final form is a flawless, white humanoid lifeform with two snow-white horns, no ears, and an aura described as holy and beautiful. 670

Personality

World Beasts are overwhelmingly arrogant toward Cosmic Sea lifeforms, commonly calling them “food,” “lowly lifeforms,” or slaves-to-be. Their instinctive ambition centers on becoming the final king, causing constant internal betrayal, pursuit, and devouring during the gestation stage. 531 637

Despite this internal competition, they can unite quickly against an outside threat. Xu Feng’s rise causes widespread fear and humiliation among them, prompting Mohe and others to organize an invasion of the Cosmic Sea rather than continue their usual isolated hunts. 642 647

Their pride is especially hostile to enslavement. When Luo Feng enslaves several Tier 5 World Beasts, many survivors choose self-destruction rather than become servants. 669

Abilities & Skills

Internal World

A World Beast’s internal “world” is the source of its extraordinary growth and abilities.

  • It allows World Beasts to grow primarily by devouring rather than by comprehending laws and cultivating conventional secret techniques. 532
  • The internal world can devour corpses and integrate their Great Dao, giving it exceptional long-term potential. 548
  • A World Beast King’s world can nurture powerful warriors. 530 532
  • World Beast Power conflicts with ordinary divine power; direct divine-power research can damage both the World Beast and its internal world. 532

Devouring and Evolution

World Beasts strengthen themselves by consuming other World Beasts and the origins of miniature universes.

  • A newborn Tier 1 can devour a miniature universe’s origin. 530 665
  • Devouring thirty-three World Beasts of one tier allows advancement to the next tier. 665
  • Their internal conflict is therefore not incidental: the race is designed to reduce itself to one final king. 530 669
  • The World Beast King inherits the accumulated power of all dead World Beasts and comprehends the complete Origin of Destruction. 670

Soul Attacks

Tier 1 World Beasts can employ powerful soul secret techniques, including Soul Roar.

  • Their soul attacks carry willpower and illusion effects. 531
  • A Tier 1 World Beast’s soul strike can reach the might of a ninth-tier secret technique. 531
  • World Beasts possess powerful wills, making soul attacks generally ineffective against one another; they often rely on direct combat in internal conflicts. 531
  • High-grade soul-defense treasures can resist their attacks, as Xu Feng’s Chaos Pearl does. 531

Splitting and Escape

World Beasts possess exceptional survival abilities.

  • Tier 1 World Beasts can divide into multiple bodies and flee in different directions. 531
  • If even one divided body escapes, the World Beast can merge again without losing strength. 531
  • Tier 3 Bedi escapes by exploding into ninety-nine streams of light. 640
  • Tier 6 World Beasts can create tens of millions of incarnations; only one must survive for the original to eventually recover. 665 666
  • The World Light Passage is an escape technique derived from the internal world, though Xu Feng destroys Meng Wu’s passage before it can succeed. 650

Boundary Light Domain

A Tier 4 World Beast can project the power of its internal world outside its body as a domain.

  • The Boundary Light Domain enhances the World Beast’s strength and control within its range. 661 665
  • It can counter domain-based restraints such as Luo Feng’s One Thought Void. 667
  • It is not an absolute defense: Luo Feng suppresses Bedi’s Boundary Light Domain with his miniature universe. 670

Destruction

Tier 5 World Beasts gain access to the Origin of Destruction through their strongest killing move, Destruction.

  • The technique can form Vortex Passages and devastating destructive projections. 667 670
  • It contains genuine mysteries of the Origin of Destruction, though Xu Feng considers the World Beasts’ use of those mysteries wasteful. 667
  • The final World Beast King represents the complete Origin of Destruction. 670

Relationships

  • Original Universe Origin Will — Natural opposite; the Origin Will represents life, while World Beasts embody destruction and threaten every universe it sustains. 530 595
  • Xu Feng / Lord of Stars — Primary enemy, researcher, and eventual destroyer of the World Beast forces. He captures Garuda and Lagoss, studies their internal worlds, hunts Tier 3 World Beasts, and evolves his Qing Wu Avatar using World Beast Blood. 532 533 650 657
  • Luo Feng / Galaxy Lord — Enslaves Moluo Che, Bedi, and other World Beasts using Three Star Realm, then uses them to end the calamity. 665 669 670
  • Moluo Che — A Tier 3 World Beast enslaved by Luo Feng; becomes the final World Beast King after devouring Bedi. 665 670
  • Mohe — A Tier 3 World Beast who leads the early invasion and later becomes the first Tier 5 World Beast during the race’s forced evolution. 642 647 666
  • Bedi — A prominent World Beast contender for kingship; reaches peak Tier 5 before Luo Feng enslaves him and Moluo Che devours him. 637 640 670
