"Teacher, what's wrong?"
Sensing that his teacher was deep in thought, Bai Ye spoke up to ask.
Hagintos answered Bai Ye, "Bai Ye, I've completed ninety percent of the automaton puppet's construction, but I'm stuck on the final ten percent and can't proceed."
"Where do you feel stuck, Teacher?"
"It's the final integration of Adeptal talismans and the Art of Automata. It still doesn't feel smooth on my end. Mechanisms like crossbows would be manageable, but this is meant for protection and guarding. The difference is huge, and the effects are poor once the talismans are attached."
"What if we don't use talismans? What would the results be then?"
"Without talismans? The difference would be enormous." Hearing Bai Ye say that, Hagintos immediately replied, "Without Adeptal talismans as a foundation, the mechanisms simply won't be strong enough."
"Do you have any way to handle it, Teacher?"
"No. I don't understand Adeptal Arts well enough. I'm not very good at figuring out how to place those Adeptal talismans onto mechanisms."
In the end,
his teacher still hadn't mastered Adeptal Arts, so she couldn't put them to use.
Bai Ye decided to handle it himself. Since he had studied Adeptal Arts before, perhaps he could give it a try. So Bai Ye began researching talismans, but unlike the Art of Automata, he wasn't particularly proficient in Adeptal Arts. After studying them for a while, he still couldn't do it.
"How should I handle this?"
Bai Ye stroked his chin in thought.
The situation fell into a deadlock for a time.
Just as Bai Ye was thinking, there came a knock at the door.
"Mr. Bai Ye, are you there?"
It was the secretary Baiwen's voice.
Upon hearing her, Bai Ye hurriedly set down the half-researched mechanical device.
"What is it?"
He asked
