As soon as No. 18 ran out, Folo pulled out his phone and contacted the subordinates who had not come with him.
He needed to summon his Sword-Bearer and the fighters his family had trained to die for him.
Whatever Feis was up to, Folo had to gather his own people first.
"Even with them, I won't have enough. Feis must be better prepared..."
"You mean Luo Yan? The time isn't right yet. Once Luo Yan can become a Sword-Keeper, I'll put him forward. That would be the perfect outcome: not only would he be mine, but the family behind him would serve me too."
"I know what you mean. And yes, with Feis itching to make a move, I do need their strength now. Things have changed. It's time to put Luo Yan, A Fu, and the others to work for me and take Feis down." Folo spoke to his Sword-Bearer over the phone.
Among the Illuminati's nonwhite members, Folo commanded enormous respect. All he had to do was make his position clear, and countless people who did not appear to be his supporters would rally to him.
Even those who refused to support him, or stood against him outright, would hold back out of respect when they fought him.
Luo Yan stood out among them. His temperament suited Folo perfectly, and Folo had long since chosen him as his "Puppet Sword-Keeper."
Folo knew Luo Yan very well. He had helped Luo Yan grow and rise through the ranks, but had never openly drawn close to him. Instead, he had let the Morgan Family win Luo Yan over.
That way, no one would see Folo as a threat or make him a target. In the end, he could even use another family's resources to raise himself a loyal hound.
