After cleaning the dirt and grass clippings off himself, Chen Mu sat back down in the rocking chair.
"Even if it can only rise one meter off the ground and doesn't count as true flight, it's still damn fast!"
Chen Mu recalled the experience from earlier.
Compared to cars from his previous life, it had to be running at around 140 or 150 kilometers per hour.
"The endurance is a bit too short, though." Chen Mu curled his lip.
Chen Mu glanced at the Shattering-Illusion Technique, which had barely changed over the past two months.
Hundred Intents Shattering-Illusion Technique: 7893/10000;
Should he put in extra practice at night?
Half a month later, a full moon hung high overhead.
In the underground chamber, Chen Mu sat cross-legged with the Exquisite Jade Disk in his arms.
A low chant echoed endlessly through the chamber.
The black sphere at the center of the Jade Seed had grown to the size of a soybean.
Upon closer inspection, it did not seem to be a solid sphere at all, but rather an incomparably deep hole.
It also possessed a strange allure. Merely looking at it gave him the urge to throw himself inside.
Only after a long while did Chen Mu come back to his senses. He turned to look at the Bronze Clepsydra Timer beside him.
At some point, all the water in the small bronze vessel had drained away.
"At least half an hour!" Chen Mu's scalp tingled.
"I didn't practice it wrong, did I?"
As the Shattering-Illusion Technique drew closer and closer to completion, he kept becoming immersed in it without realizing it.
Sometimes, he would stare at the black sphere inside the Jade Seed for a full hour.
"What if I get trapped in there and can't come back out..."
