"What would you like to buy, sir?" The burly owner spoke with unexpected gentleness, quite at odds with his imposing build.
Chen Mu nodded slightly to the owner and looked around.
The shelves behind the counter held quite a few goods sorted into categories. Most were materials such as herbs and ores; the only pills in sight were Fasting Pills, while the artifacts were mostly small auxiliary tools.
Chen Mu was disappointed. The Qiankun Merchant House had an impressive name, but it was probably just a small shop, unlikely to meet his needs.
"Does your shop have any Lightning Avoidance Artifacts?" he asked, still unwilling to give up.
The brawny owner in his forties looked apologetic. "Artifacts like that are rather precious. This shop has only recently opened, so we do not dare deal in them. You might try the Hundred Treasures Pavilion."
"I already did." Chen Mu sighed.
The Hundred Treasures Pavilion did have them, but he would need to contact the Hundred Crafts Hall of the Upper Courtyard to have one custom-made, and they were expensive.
He could afford twenty or thirty thousand White Jade Coins, but the custom order would take too long. There and back, it would take at least three or four months.
