Chen Mu kept turning them, occasionally sprinkling on special seasonings. Their fragrance wafted everywhere.
By the campfire, Zhang Ye and Du Huai were gnawing on dry rations as they stared at the sizzling rabbits, saliva flooding their mouths.
"Brother Chen, do you think you could spare me a rabbit leg?" Zhang Ye sidled up to Chen Mu with a foolish grin.
"I'll pay!" Zhang Ye hurriedly added.
Du Huai beside him could not help looking at Chen Mu as well. Out here in the wilderness, what did it matter if he spent a little money for a bite of delicious grilled meat?

Zhang Ye wanted to keep pleading.
