Li Qing was treated as an honored guest and directly invited into the village.
This place was called Origin Dragon Village, the residence of all the Long family's direct bloodline descendants. The higher one's cultivation, the harder it was to produce offspring, so there were not many members of the Long family in this village—only a little over a thousand. It truly was not much.
Yet among these thousand-odd people, even the weakest were in the Nascent Soul Realm. They were mostly younger members of the Long family who had only recently embarked on the path of cultivation.
Of course, the Long family also had collateral bloodlines. However, the dragon blood in the collateral descendants was thin, and they were not qualified to live within the Dragon Realm. The young man Li Qing had seen in the pawnshop earlier was one such collateral descendant of the Long family.
Li Qing was directly led into an ancestral hall within the village. Many memorial tablets were enshrined here, all ancestors of the Long family—mighty figures who had once been renowned throughout the Cultivation World and left far-reaching influence behind.
Some of those names had even left behind legends that inspired awe. For example, one Long family head had once come close to completely stepping into the Mahayana Realm, only to die miserably beneath the Mahayana Tribulation and be reduced entirely to ashes.
There was also a Long family ancestor named Long Jingdao, an outstanding figure of the same era as Xianglong and Fuhu. He had clashed many times with the Dragon Subduing Celestial Venerable before the latter attained the Dao, and had even fought him to a draw on several occasions. Yet in the end, he still failed to enter the Mahayana Realm and died with regret.
