A small Buddhist tale, something seen everywhere in the world.
Just like the principles of this world—so numerous that even ordinary children could casually recite a whole basketful of them.
Yet without experiencing them firsthand, it was difficult to truly grasp the hidden mysteries within those seemingly simple truths.
Take sayings such as "Great Form Formless, the Great Dao nameless, great sound is seldom heard, great skill appears clumsy." Who walking the path of cultivation did not know them?
But who could truly comprehend the genuine mystery and wondrous truth within them?
To God Annihilation, the Buddhist cultivation tale Su Yi had told was nothing rare. He had heard no fewer than a thousand, or at least eight hundred, similar stories.
But now, imprisoned and unable even to seek death, God Annihilation could not help falling silent as he listened to Su Yi recount that little story in person.
He stood there in a daze, speechless.
Su Yi swept his sleeve, and the force binding God Annihilation instantly vanished.
Yet God Annihilation seemed wholly unaware. He stood there silently, the expression on his face shifting between light and shadow.
The Fighting Heaven Ancestral God did not disturb him.
Su Yi drank.
Heaven and earth were utterly still, the surrounding wilderness soundless, and the atmosphere gradually became tranquil.
Suddenly, Su Yi said, "You may keep this butcher's knife in your heart. There is no need to set it down. Whenever you wish to duel in the future, you may come find me."
God Annihilation's entire body trembled. He raised his eyes toward Su Yi, as though waking somewhat from his dazed stupor.
Then he sighed. "Indeed, I am not as good as that monk. I cannot put down the butcher's knife for now. But after today's battle, I have gained some
