Author's Note

I thought about it and decided to write a statement about the book going on sale.

I apologize for charging for the book before it even reached 100,000 characters. The editor told me last night that since the book didn't make it through the first round of recommendations on QQ Reading, they've set it up for paid access.

Now, I can only hope that Qidian and the browser platform can pick up the slack.

After getting the news from my editor last night, I was lost for an hour and even started to doubt myself.

But considering there's still a glimmer of hope, I've decided to push on.

Before starting this book, I also looked at some of the top-selling Douluo novels on Kunlun Chinese Network.

To be honest, I really don't understand how books that repeat the same idea multiple times, are wordy, and have very mediocre plots can still rank in the top ten.

Perhaps the majority of Douluo fans are younger readers... who prefer those purely simple, "white-hot" stories.

And after writing for so many years, I still haven't learned how to write that kind of story...

I've revised every chapter of this book at least three times, and I've tried my best to make it interesting and serious, yet this is the result...

So, this book will most likely be my last Douluo fanfiction, unless there's a chance for it to take off later on.

Currently, the data on the browser platform is decent. If it can continue to steadily improve, I'll definitely have more confidence to keep writing!

Furthermore, QQ Browser still offers the entire book for free. If readers who dislike paid content are interested in this book, you can head over to QQ Browser to read it.

After all, Qidian will definitely charge, and you need a membership to read for free on QQ Reading...

However, if readers don't have any financial pressure, I hope everyone can support this book on their respective platforms~
