After thinking it over, I decided to write a few words about going premium.
I'm sorry the novel went paid before even reaching 100,000 words. Last night, my editor told me that it failed the first round of recommendations on QQ Reading, so they put it behind a paywall.
Now I can only see whether things can pick up on Qidian and the browser platform.
After getting the news from my editor last night, I felt lost for an hour and even started doubting myself.
But since all hope wasn't lost yet, I decided to keep going a little longer.
Before starting this book, I also read several Douluo novels near the top of the bestseller list on Kunlun Chinese Network.
To be honest, I really didn't understand how books that repeated the same point several times, rambled on and on, and had pretty average plots could still make the top ten.
Maybe most Douluo readers are younger... and prefer those straightforward wish-fulfillment stories.
Yet even after writing for so many years, I still haven't learned how to write that kind of story...
Every chapter of this book has been revised at least three times. I tried my best to make it interesting and write it seriously, but I never expected this outcome...
So this book will most likely be my last Douluo fanfiction, unless it has a chance of taking off later on.
For now, the browser-side data looks pretty good. If it can continue rising steadily, I'll definitely have more confidence to keep writing!
