The old men before you suddenly wore fanatical expressions, waving their fists as they shouted, "His Majesty the Emperor is immortal! Long live His Majesty the Emperor!"

"It was you who ushered in the Age of Steam, making the flowers of human civilization bloom in full splendor. It was you who have always led us onward through hardship and grit!"

At this point, the old men triggered that mysterious switch again. "For humanity's future! For humanity's glory!"

You felt that they had probably been somewhat brainwashed.

Considering that you currently could neither lift your shoulders nor move your legs, and even needed machines to help you breathe, you thought this brainwashing setting was absolutely wonderful.

The old men continued filling you in on the setting.

"After Your Majesty the Emperor established the Empire's order and brought civilization to humanity, you adopted twenty daughters."

"But half of them were bewitched and persuaded into surrendering by the Four Great Barbarians beyond the Empire's borders!"

"They were the Fierce Savage Tribes of the eastern grasslands, who drove murderous giant machines or implanted brutal prosthetics, and reveled in bloody combat!"

"Then there was the dancer tribe of the Great Desert in the western regions. They excelled at hypnotic Mystic Arts and methods of manipulating human hormones!"

"And the Southern Gu-Evil Wild Nation. They were an animal protection organization that declared humans to be the Mother of All Spirits, then summoned modified animal friends to fight!"

"Finally, there was the Northern Monster Folk nation, founded on commerce and ruling the masses of the world through schemes and power plays."

"They are all members of the Traitorous Faction—great, heinous traitors, Your Majesty the Emperor!"

"Your Majesty the Emperor, only you can guide
