September 1st, morning.
Today was not the weekend, but it was the Academy's holiday. According to Academy regulations, every Rule End day was a day off, allowing students to relax better.
At nine o'clock, the notification that the rules had ended rang out in everyone's minds.
[Rule Time has ended] [Congratulations on passing the Twelfth Apocalypse Rule's trial] [Rewards have been distributed to the Storage Box] [The Thirteenth Apocalypse Rule will be released in thirty days]
Fire Thief's voice had never changed, but that did not stop it from sounding like a demon's whisper when announcing rules and an angel's song when ending them.
For a moment, thunderous cheers erupted from the dormitory buildings.
"It's finally over..."
"Guys, get online!"
"Damn, my phone's dead!"
Most students were immersed in the excitement of being able to use the internet freely again, but a very small number of students who were less dependent on the internet instead felt reluctant to see the rules end.
"Will there be any more rules this stress-free in the future? I really wish this one had lasted longer..."
"Yeah. It was rare to get such an easy rule."
"Hey, did you notice? The Mind Network seems to have disconnected?"
"It really has!"
"Could it only work during the Rule Period?"
As soon as the rules ended, news of the Mind Network's disconnection quickly spread.
Everyone who had connected to it felt a strange sense of loss.
Though they had not experienced it for long, the experience of using nothing but their minds as a medium to send a single sentence into the minds of tens of millions of people had truly given Ascendants an entirely new understanding of "communication."
It would undoubtedly be a great pity if it could no longer be used from now
