At dawn, before the sun had risen.
Guan Tong left the dormitory assigned to him by the academy, locked the door, and hung the key on the doorknob.
Over the past few months, he had not stayed in this dormitory often. Most of the time, he used Phase Shift to return to his own shelter, so the room had barely changed and needed no extra tidying.
After leaving the dorm building, he walked through the quiet morning to the academy gates. The guard on duty saw him and said, "Teacher Guan, are you leaving today?"
After Shi Jingyi returned, word that Guan Tong would be leaving the academy had long since spread. Naturally, the people in the security office all knew.
They also felt somewhat embarrassed when facing Guan Tong. The soldier apologized, "Sorry, Teacher Guan. You're leaving, and we still couldn't catch the culprit."
The "culprit" he meant was the Xisiya assassin who had thrown a bear's head into Guan Tong's dormitory.
After that incident, the security office had continued investigating. But since Guan Tong had dealt with all three assassins himself, there was naturally no way for the security office to find them. They only assumed the assassins had fled.

Guan Tong walked out of the academy and looked back at the place where he had spent over three months.
Naturally, he had no particular attachment to the academy itself. He had only casual relationships with the other teachers and the dean. Still, he was fairly satisfied with most of the students.
