Zhang Minglu had probably thought the same, because the chance of a parasite lurking here was far too low.
But neither of them had expected there really to be one.
Zhang Minglu snapped back to his senses and tapped the Headphones he was wearing. "Dragon Soul, the subject in Testing Room No. 3 is a parasite. Get them under control immediately!"
Dragon Soul had been standing by throughout the testing. Upon hearing Zhang Minglu's order, he immediately arrived at Testing Room No. 3.
A young woman with a ponytail lay on the bed inside. Her work badge identified her as "Data Department—Analyst."
Seeing Dragon Soul suddenly enter the room, she frowned. "I'm undergoing a physical examination. What is it?"
Without saying a word, Dragon Soul reached for her.
The woman's expression changed. She seemed to realize she had been exposed. The next instant, a Mind Power dagger appeared in her right hand, but before she could use it, Dragon Soul landed a heavy punch on her face.
Thud!
After a muffled impact, the woman immediately passed out, utterly unable to resist.
Dragon Soul reported through the Headphones, "Target subdued."
Zhang Minglu pushed open the door and entered, with Guan Tong following behind him.
"She's a parasite?" Zhang Minglu stepped forward, picked up the woman's work badge, and his face immediately darkened. "Data Department. Damn it!"
Hearing this, Guan Tong knew the matter was quite serious.
Although the Data Department was not comparable to other cutting-edge research divisions, it was certainly an important department. Important data from across the country was gathered there every day, then analyzed to provide decision-makers with results for making appropriate policy judgments.
