Rayne emerged from Dragon Valley but did not return directly to Gotham City. Instead, he teleported with Borchi to an area north of Gotham City.
"Boss, what are we doing here?"
Looking at the desolate land around them, Borchi could not help feeling puzzled.
"Do you know where this is?" Rayne asked with a smile. When Borchi shook his head in confusion, he continued, "Loboster. During the Third Era, it was one of the Elven Empire's largest cities on the New Continent, as well as its most famous city for magical research. It had multiple Magic Academies and countless towers."
"I can't see any of that." Borchi had heard of Loboster, but as far as the eye could see, there was not a trace of life beneath the gloomy sky. It was like a dead zone.
This place was far beyond the range illuminated by Magic Torchlight, more than five hundred li from Gotham City.
The air was filled with Death Force.
Looking into the distance, they could see some undead creatures wandering across the land. They were only a small number; countless undead armies were hidden underground.
Loboster was located on the eastern coast of the New Continent. Continuing several hundred li northeast would lead to the Blood Elves' Vengeance Island, while heading a thousand li northwest would take them into the Kanord Icefield, where the number of undead creatures grew increasingly dense. The entire region was ruled by the Death Lord and had become a forbidden zone for the living.
"Loboster will be the next city we reclaim. Since it's along the way today, I'll scout the surroundings first." As he spoke, Rayne surveyed the area from high in the sky.
"Boss, I can carry you around for a few laps." Borchi eagerly volunteered.
"All right."
Rayne nodded.
