Ten months passed in the blink of an eye, and it was now August of New Calendar 2544.
Rayne once again arrived at Great Fir Ridge High Tower. The Teleportation Array originally built outside had been relocated inside the tower. It could now connect directly to Sword Bay Town, and also lead to King's Fortress, Luoshengdu, and several cities on the East Coast.
After stepping out of the Teleportation Array, Rayne did not head for Luoshengdu, which was already beginning to take shape. Instead, he had Borchi, who was following behind him, reveal his true Dragon form.
Rayne Mind Leaped onto the Dragon's back and ordered, "Go to Nelson Barracks."
"Yes, boss!"
The Golden Three-Headed Dragon spread its enormous wings and flew north. It was incredibly fast. Half a minute later, they saw a barracks built amid the mountains.
This was one of the two barracks Rayne had newly built on the New Continent.
One was Arlington Barracks, located west of Aiseng. The other was the Nelson Barracks before them, built on Great Fir Ridge, only a dozen miles or so from the tower. Both barracks were military bases used to train the Duke's Guard. With Gotham City, the Duchy of Augustus, and Kalanos added in, the Duke's Guard now had a total of five barracks.
Rayne's original plan had been to build a Duke's Guard of one hundred thousand by 2545. Progress had been somewhat slow, so he had accelerated the army's expansion last year.
The two newly built barracks had each recruited twenty thousand soldiers.
Using veterans to train newcomers, Rayne had broken up the four fully organized divisions that had already developed combat effectiveness and expanded them into six divisions, which had then trained for nearly a year.
The Seventh and Eighth Divisions were still training.
The
