Tiris Floating City was built using the "Nether City-Building Method": a section of mountain was cut off, flipped over with its cross-section facing upward, and inscribed with Rune Arrays inside. The energy of Iola's Core then pushed it into the sky.
It ascended in New Calendar year 1285, becoming the Empire's fifth Floating City.

Among the Empire's eight Floating Cities, Tiris Floating City had the lowest profile. Its area was about the same as Nesser's and was not particularly large. It could not compare to the magnificent Pallas Floating City. Like its master, Duke of Purple Flame, it was not well-known.
But it was still a Floating City. Before today, it represented the pinnacle of battle power in the Material Plane and the greatest magical creation in the world.
At this moment, countless people looked up at Tiris Floating City.
Nine enormous beams of light shot into the Dark Sun Divine Domain, piercing through the endless tide of black fog and illuminating the avatar of The Deceiver Loki.

Loki's avatar froze for an instant, then exploded.
Its two halves were like eggs crushed beneath a boulder. They split into countless tiny fragments, then melted and evaporated amid the terrifying energy. Even the immense Divine Power erupting at a level unimaginable to mortals could not resist the process.
The Dark Sun Divine Domain boiled furiously, as if it were about to release all its Divine Power. It reached its peak in an instant, then suddenly shifted from motion to stillness and plunged into complete silence.
The heavens and earth fell silent as well.
The Rune Arrays of Tiris Floating City stopped operating and its energy retracted. Hundreds of thousands of Loki's followers turned into statues, unable to move. The entire Floating City became a dead
