Atop the temple, the Nightwalker Trolls guarded Xirik's temple layer upon layer.
Several powerful Loa Warriors kept watch over the temple's movements from the entrance, but not a single Troll dared enter the temple. This was the Loa's divine oracle. Without its permission, any Troll who dared trespass into the temple would meet only one fate: death!

An enemy capable of forcing the Loa to act personally was certainly backed by another Loa's power. The gods had many enemies, but the one with whom tensions had been most severe recently was Akidara, the God of Storms.
