Taking Two Days Off and a Few Words

I couldn't write anything again today.

There are still several hundred thousand words left in the book, and I've already worked out the entire plot outline for what comes next. I could just follow it all the way to the ending, but I've been writing this book for almost three years now, and my creative drive was exhausted long ago. Even updating only four thousand words a day leaves me feeling completely drained, both physically and mentally.

After the part where Rayne became emperor, my writing state took an even sharper turn for the worse. I don't even know how I got through last month. Updating every day to meet the perfect-attendance requirement felt like I was just going through the motions.

Everyone can see that the quality of the recent chapters has declined. A lot of people have said I'm padding things out, and I feel deeply ashamed.

There are still three or four major story arcs before the book is finished. I really want to fast-forward through them and then take a proper break for a month or two, but unfortunately, I can't.

It's the same situation again today. I know exactly what I'm supposed to write, but every cell in my brain is resisting the keyboard. I don't want to think about it. I'm mentally exhausted!

So I'm going to take two days off and completely clear my head. Tomorrow, I'll go somewhere nearby and have some fun to relax. I'll return and resume updating on the fifth.

If it weren't for the perfect-attendance requirement, which allows me to take only three days off per month at most, I'd want to take an entire week off.

I ask for everyone's understanding. Thank you!
