When the Paladins shouted that those who surrendered would not be killed, the trolls threw down their weapons one after another and abandoned their resistance.

After the Paladins took control of the prisoners, Corsaro immediately conducted a swift trial in the forest. He singled out the trolls with Advanced Tier strength, and anyone who showed the slightest hesitation or refused to convert to the faith of the Lord of Radiance was executed on the spot in front of tens of thousands of trolls.
The trolls who reacted violently, whether their faces showed anger or concealed thoughts of revenge, were also singled out by Rayne's Heavenly Soldiers and executed in public.

After several hours of bloody cleansing, the remaining fifty thousand troll prisoners had been terrified into submission. They no longer dared even think of revenge.
Corsaro personally watched the entire process and devoured the souls of every troll who had been killed.

Hatred between tribes, wars between Loas, and conflicts over territory, faith, and interests—any number of reasons could lead to endless bloodshed. To prevent future trouble, the victors often wiped out enemy tribes on a massive scale, carrying out true genocide.
Unless the methods were sufficiently brutal, it was impossible to make the trolls bow their heads and convert. The trolls were already accustomed to these cruel rules.
