In the palace atop the Loa Temple, Corsaro looked at the giant bear Usok, whose body had shrunk to only about five meters, and frowned. "What abnormal condition?"
His Thunder Forged Divine Soldiers were scattered throughout the Southern Continent. They had infiltrated every important city to gather detailed information. They had secretly observed most of the Loa Deities as well, but a few Loa had never shown themselves, elusive and impossible to track.
The God of Thunder, Akunda, was one of them.
The Thunder Forged Divine Soldier had infiltrated the city where it lived several months ago, but had never seen Akunda. At first, Corsaro had assumed that was simply its personality. Several Loa were like that, so he had not been particularly suspicious.
Usok shook his head. "I can't explain it either."
A look of recollection appeared on its bear face as it continued, "Akunda is an extremely powerful Thunder Lizard. It wasn't famous before becoming a Loa. It was only about three hundred years ago that it suddenly defeated Avodon's Loa, and that was when I first learned of it."
"I've interacted with Akunda a few times. When it isn't angered, it's very peaceful. It even possesses a mercy that's extremely inappropriate for a Loa. It's very tolerant toward its believers and has no great ambitions."
"Its strength..."
Usok's expression grew complicated. "Before I lost the Creator's Altar, Akunda was only slightly weaker than me."
What it meant was that it was now far inferior to Akunda.
Corsaro smiled and comforted it. "Once you become an Archmage, you'll quickly recover your strength. You'll be even stronger than before."
"That would be wonderful!" Usok's eyes filled with anticipation as it continued, "Among the three Loa in the southern part of the Gullaman Empire, the strongest is Berg'yan.
