Not having to write is awesome!
On the first day after I took leave, I felt a little empty and couldn't quite adjust. I didn't know what to do, so I spent the whole day lying around. Over the next two or three days, time seemed to pass so slowly, with every day feeling especially long, so I simply went on a trip. When I came back, I still had two or three days of vacation left, but time suddenly started flying by, and it was over in the blink of an eye.
Today, I sat down at the computer full of energy and opened the document. Then I was dumbfounded.
I'd completely forgotten what I was supposed to write, haha. I hurriedly went back to look through the earlier chapters, only to find hundreds of them. Before I knew it, I'd caught up to the present...
Fortunately, I've found my rhythm again. Let me slack off for one more day; updates resume tomorrow.
From here on, I need to speed things up. Both the updates and the plot need to accelerate. We'll head toward the goal of finishing the book and try to wrap it up before the new year!
Over the past few days, I also worked out the setting for my new book. I actually had the idea last year: a combination of a science-fiction backdrop and a fantasy setting, with a power system that also bears a slight resemblance to Warhammer Wizard, though it's been simplified. I'm full of enthusiasm now and can't wait to start writing it, but I definitely need to finish this book first. There's still a lot to improve in the new book too. Hopefully, it'll become a hit.
