He led the way inside, sniffed the air to determine the direction, then swiftly crossed the store lobby, winding through several turns before stopping outside a warehouse door.
Rayne listened closely. There were two heartbeats inside the warehouse.
Roger's pupils narrowed. His amber eyes gave off a faint glow in the darkness, his pupils turning vertical like a cat's. He carefully cast a spell to undo the warehouse lock, gently pushed open a crack in the door, and flashed inside.
