The five fireballs flew into the control room at different speeds, each from a different direction, but ultimately arrived at their destination in sync and exploded together.
Scarlet flames swept across the entire control room, yet did not reach Iola's Core in the middle.
Apart from Iola's Core, the floor, walls, and dome were all engulfed in flames. The scorching heat was extremely restrained. It did not burn the Rune Array, yet left no blind spots, leaving Kolsted nowhere to hide and immediately forcing it to reveal itself.
It hovered in midair, a Necromantic Shield composed of countless twisted ghostly faces blocking the flames.
Its gorgeous magical robe could not conceal its emaciated body. Its withered, clawlike hands gripped a staff. Its pale face was devoid of flesh, leaving only dry, wrinkled skin with two black nostrils showing. Its eye sockets were deeply sunken, and within them burned two clusters of blue Undead Fire.
Even so, it was obvious that Kolsted was in a state of extreme shock.
It seemed unable to believe that the four Calamity Giants it had created had all been destroyed in a single encounter.
So much so that it had failed to react in time even after being forced to reveal itself.
When Ansiwodoss saw its inhuman appearance, even uglier than it had been a few years ago, he could not help but freeze for a moment. He did not immediately launch another attack, either.
He turned back and instructed, "Guard the exit."
Then he walked into the control room alone.
"Teacher, we meet again." Kolsted spoke. Its voice was dry and shrill, as unpleasant as a blade scraping across glass. There was not the slightest hint of panic in its tone. The word "teacher" carried no emotion at all, only the coldest mockery.
