Ashen Holy Sword

The Ashen Holy Sword was over 1.6 meters long. It was a standard two-handed greatsword, but it had an edge on only one side. Rather than a sword, it was more like a blade.

In the Aerenus World, most languages had no concept of a "blade."

Weapons like this were generally called single-edged swords.

However, single-edged swords this large were extremely rare. Its blade was as wide as two palms placed side by side, with a spine about four centimeters thick. It was shaped like a door panel overall, growing wider toward the tip. The tip was slanted and flat, with an extremely sharp angle that gave it a ferocious appearance.

The most eye-catching feature of the weapon was a semicircular notch near the tip of its spine.

A ball of light floated inside the notch.

At the core of the light was a round piece of metal carved in the shape of a human skull. It radiated a sinister green glow, dyeing the blade dark green as well. Only the row of runes carved down the middle remained a dim gold—the color of Holy Light.

Saint Giles gripped the archaic hilt forged from blood-red metal.

The greatsword weighed around two thousand pounds. An ordinary person could not swing it at all, and even a Legendary Transcendent would find it extremely difficult to wield. Yet to Saint Giles, who possessed level fifteen strength, it was as light as a wooden club—if anything, a little too light.

However, Saint Giles was not like his main body, Rayne, who pursued strength to the extreme. He primarily fought with Sacred Blood Power and Divine Arts, so this weight suited him perfectly.
