Teacher and Student in Conflict

Rayne walked out of the projection room but did not leave.

He waited in the hall of the Wezelan High Tower for several minutes. Ansiwodoss also came out of the projection room and glanced at his student. His expression was as solemn as it had been during the meeting. He walked step by step to the back of his desk and sat down.

"Teacher."

Rayne stood before the desk, as respectful as ever.

Seeing his posture, Ansiwodoss's expression softened slightly. He finally nodded and said, "Don't just stand there. Sit."

Rayne sat down as instructed.

Ansiwodoss carefully studied Rayne as if he were seeing him for the first time. This student whom he had watched grow up somehow felt both familiar and strange.

He opened his mouth, but ultimately changed the subject. "Rayne, are you really planning to auction off the Floating City?"

"Yes, teacher."

Rayne replied calmly. "Before taking the New Homeland Floating City, I already told you that it didn't meet my requirements. I was planning to build a Floating City according to my own ideas."

I thought you were joking back then!

Ansiwodoss felt helpless. It was all because he had misunderstood. Who could have imagined that someone would sell a Floating City? Even though Rayne had said it to his face, few people believed it even now. Before the High Council adjourned, the Soul Saint Wizards had already argued themselves hoarse.
