"I'm invincible!"

Before Sikarius's arrogant shout had even faded, a massive hammerhead rapidly enlarged before his eyes. The armor system sent an alarm into his mind, but it was useless.

Bang!

With a thunderous boom, Sikarius and his armor were sent flying by a single hammer strike.

The armor, weighing over ten thousand pounds, plowed a long trench through the mud. Sikarius rolled for more than a hundred meters before coming to a stop. The armor's balancing system took effect, lifting him off the ground, while flames sprayed from his back to counteract the impact. In the end, he hovered steadily in midair.

"Uh..."

Only then did Sikarius see that Rayne was the one who had sent him flying. Completely bewildered, he asked, "Boss, why did you hit me?"

Rayne smiled. "I wanted to test the armor's defenses."

"Huh?"

Sikarius suddenly understood, then felt a wave of lingering fear and wild joy. He knew perfectly well how terrifying his boss's strength was. In the past, a single hammer strike would have blown him apart. But now, after putting on the Power Armor, he had taken a hammer blow without suffering so much as a scratch!

The warhammer had struck the front of the armor just now, causing a transparent Repulsion Field to appear and cancel out a large portion of the attack. The remaining force acted on the armor, then was dispersed throughout its entire body after being buffered and dampened. In the end, it was completely absorbed.

The lightning damage released by the warhammer had met the same fate. With the three layers of protection provided by the Repulsion Field, the Energy-Absorbing Magic Array, and the Magic-Resistant Inner Armor, it had failed to cause any damage.
