Time Stop!

The world within a range of several hundred meters abruptly fell silent. Time stopped flowing, while the air, sounds, and everything else came to a standstill. Both sides—the Hell Three-Headed Dragon and the Golden Three-Headed Dragon—were suspended motionless in midair, their broad wings utterly still, like two statues of dragons.

The three powerful demons on the dragons' backs could not move either.

However, Akeon was frozen for only an insignificant instant before his thoughts resumed. Fierce blood-red light erupted from his eyes, but his body felt as though it had fallen into a swamp. Although he could move again, his movements were incredibly slow.

During the first second of Time Stop, he sensed the spell's source. With great difficulty, he turned his head and saw a black figure appear not far away to his right.

It was a young human Wizard.

His face was pale and his body thin. A transparent shield enveloped him as he floated in midair, holding a straight Mithril Staff. Time Stop had been released from his hand.

Akeon recognized him.

Several years ago, this Wizard had fought him. His superb casting techniques and powerful strength had left a deep impression on Akeon. Back then, he had only been a Legendary Wizard, yet in just three or four years, he had advanced to become a Soul Saint Wizard!

The young Wizard's face remained utterly expressionless, indifferent and cold.

He himself was completely unaffected by Time Stop. He waved his staff and cast a spell, and with a flash of his figure, twelve identical Black Robes appeared around him.

This casting took one second.

The Wizard's true body and the twelve Mirror Images began casting rapidly as the second second started.

The spells they cast were identical: transparent rays only as thick as a thumb.
